General Hospital Spoilers for Wednesday, March 29th reveal the good people of Port Charles will say goodbye to Epiphany Johnson and her portrayer, Sonya Eddy. Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) blames himself. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) are forced to come together for the sake of everyone else.

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) speaks to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about regret. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) share their feelings. Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) gives Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) a time-sensitive task. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) assures Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) that she’s right where she needs to be. General Hospital Spoilers — March 29 — Sonya Eddy Will be Sorely Missed

Sonya died unexpectedly following a routine, scheduled surgery in mid-December of 2022. Sonya joined the cast of General Hospital in 2006 and took the hearts of both her castmates and viewers by storm. Many of the series regulars shared their feelings about Eddy in the days following her death, noting her heart was as warm and inviting off-screen as Epiphany’s was on-screen.

Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan) posted on his Instagram, “At a loss for words. Devastated,” after the news broke. Following taping this special tribute episode, Drew Cheetwood (ex-Milo Giambetti) shared, “Yesterday’s episode was a tough one to film.

We lost an amazing human being in December unexpectedly. Sonya Eddy lit this world up with an incredible light. She was so many beautiful things to so many people. We’ll miss her greatly.”

Kimberly McCullough (ex-Robin Scorpio) met up with fellow GH alums Minae Noji (ex-Kelly Lee) and Kent King (ex-Lainey Winters) when she shared their own tribute to Sonya on her Instagram noting, “A break in the rain and a gorgeous sunset for our beloved Sonya Eddy. Grateful we had some time to celebrate her and the friendship we shared.”
