General Hospital: Mike Corbin (Max Gail) General Hospital spoilers tease that fans need to watch this week’s GH with plenty of tissues handy, as the Corinthos family, Jason Morgan, (Steve Burton) and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) tell Mike Corbin (Max Gail) one last sad goodbye as he passes away from a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Tells Michael Corinthos The End Is Near While Sonny Corinthos Stays With Mike Corbin

At the Corinthos home, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) are in the kitchen, and Carly is telling Michael that the end is near for Mike and that he is succumbing to the ravages of the Alzheimer’s Disease he has suffered from for a few years now. Michael looks sad, as the scene flashes to the hospice section of Turning Woods Memory Care, where Mike is now attached to a heart monitor.

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is there, with a dampened tissue giving his father some water since he cannot eat or drink. Stella is also there, sadly looking on in the background. The heart monitor shows Mike’s heart rate starting to become somewhat erratic and slowing down. The scene flashes again, where Sonny has stepped outside in the hall and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has arrived to say his goodbyes to Mike – and trying to comfort Sonny as he has started to cry.

Sonny, back in the room sitting by Mike’s bed, says he wishes he had more time with him – more memories. Sonny recalls when Mike was in the hospital and he brought a shaving kit in to shave his father’s face. This was when Mike had just started to lose his control over his body, but he was still able to eat and drink with assistance. Now he cannot swallow, and this has been going on for a while.

GH Spoilers – The Family Gathers To Say Their Last Goodbyes To Mike Corbin

Carly tells Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) it’s time – as viewers will recall from one of last week’s episodes, Joss had spent an emotional time with Mike already, having told him how she wished she had more time with him and imagining him whole and well at different future times in her life. Carly puts her hand on Joss’s shoulder in a comforting manner. Jason tells Mike goodbye, putting his hand on Mike’s shoulder.

Sonny, standing a short distance from Mike’s bed looks down sadly as Stella tries to comfort him. Then Michael arrives and sits down by Mike’s bed where Sonny sat earlier, and the heart monitor shows Mike’s heart rate slowing and becoming more erratic; Sonny puts his hands on Michael’s shoulders and says to Mike that he just wants him to go in peace, and to go with love.

Joss joins Michael in the room at Mike’s bedside, and it appears that Mike has passed away as Sonny kisses him goodbye on the forehead. Mike’s Alzheimer’s journey has been a long one, with Sonny having done everything humanly possible to mend their relationship with one another and to make his father’s last days on earth loving and peaceful.
