General Hospital spoilers indicate that Wes Ramsey’s character, Peter August, has finally met his demise after Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) threw him down a flight of stairs. Will GH bring Wes back as another character?
General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August Was Hated By Many
General Hospital spoilers and recaps show writers have bent over backward to try to redeem Peter. However, fans have made it clear that they will not accept any redemption of the man who got Nathan West (ex-Ryan Paevey) killed.
GH fans were not happy at all with the way Peter used Nathan. Many fans were very upset when Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was paired with him. Of course, the writers still tried to make things work by giving Maxie a baby with Peter. Still, the attempt at redeeming him did not work.
From the time it was revealed that Peter kept Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) hostage for five years, he was fighting a losing battle. Peter had too many fan bases against him and that was his downfall. Will a new character be introduced to keep Wes on set?
GH Spoilers – Wes Ramsey Could Return After Peter August’s Death
General Hospital’s Wes could return much like Michael Easton and Roger Howarth who have played several characters on the show so far. What would be a good role for Ramsey to try next? With a presumed new mob boss coming to Port Charles, Wes could return as someone associated with him. Perhaps the boss’ son and protege or someone else associated with the mob. Maybe a new cop to join the PCPD or maybe even a doctor at GH. Considering Wes’s tendency to bring out his Shakespearean personality, maybe he could be the new English teacher at Port Charles High.

General Hospital Spoilers – GH Executives Love To Bring Actors Back
In recent years GH tended to bring actors back in new roles more often than not. Would it be shocking for Wes to show up on the screen as a new character? The fact that the man was hired in the parking lot of the GH set certainly indicates that a return is a good bet. It also doesn’t hurt that Wes’s girlfriend, Laura Wright who plays Carly Corinthos is still onset.
It is more likely than not that Wes will show up as another character at some point soon, it is just a matter of finding a character for Wes to play. Perhaps Wes will show up as a recast for Drew Cain (ex-Billy Miller) since Peter was responsible for his plane crash.
Only time will tell if Wes returns as someone new but it would not be shocking at all for him to turn up again very soon on General Hospital.

This always happens an Actor becomes popular in a bad guy role so they try to redeem the character. That might have worked in the past , it doesn't work today . That's why Todd Manning can't return. So Wes Ramsey needs a new character.
It didn't work because the writers were determined to make him bad. I hate how they got rid of him. It was obvious he really loved Maxie and wanted to change but again, the writers had all the control.
Too much – too soon – after just doing the same thing with Roger. Wes needs to be away from canvas for a period of time before being revealed as a new character. At least in Franco's case, he had successfully been redeemed and was doing well. In fact, Franco's character was the best pairing for Elizabeth she has ever had in my opinion. Was not a fan of the Franco character, but his redemption story line was well written, except for the part about the brain tumor made him do his misdeeds.

Bring him back, don't bring him back. Don't really care. But if you do bring him back, do not sully Drew's memory by having Wes be a re-cast for him.
And hadn't some guy from the Hallmark channel been hired for a role to be announced at a later date? So why do we need Peter/Wes at all?
I agree with everything you said. Wes Ramsey’s role went on way too long. I felt that he should’ve been written out along time ago and they kept him because he is Laura’s boyfriend. There was absolutely no chemistry between him and Maxi. I’m glad he’s gone. I hope they don’t bring him back as someone else.

I'm still very unsettled with Franco coming back as this new character. I miss Franco. I keep yelling at my screen. I guess the writers feel that we are suppose to accept that no one he comes in contact with sees the huge resemblance.
Just stop bring the same people back in a different role! It's rediculous. There are so many actors out there to choose from. Viewers bond with the characters and don't want to see the same face in another role. Please , stop. I don't want to see Wes Ramsey ever again anywhere.
I agree! I mean he helps Maxi deliver her baby and then Elizabeth looks RIGHT at him when he is brought into the hospital and NEITHER of them even look shocked at "the resemblance" (you know that is what it is going to be called). I have never been a fan of an actor's character being killed and then coming back as someone new. I don't know why it had to be Franco that Peter killed in the first place!
I guess he loved Maxi cause he tried to kill everyone but her! Hope Peter is gone. Do not care if Wes stays , good actor!
That it's time for GH to hire WRITERS who respect the history of the show & are capable of writing a.cohesive storyline that holds your interest.i wish they didn't kill the character Franco but they did.I hate to say it but Wes over stayed his welcome with the help of Laura.it doesn't matter what the viewers think they dont listen.

Just because he’s Laura’s boyfriend ( and I love her) isn’t reason enough to keep him on as a different character! Talk about bias and favoritism!! I really don’t care for him at all and it’s Ridiculous to do that with him after just doing it with Roger. That’s soooo annoying
