General Hospital spoilers reveal that Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) shared why Wes Ramsey wasn’t the right actor to play Peter August. Now the actor has responded to Rogers’ comments. He says that being polite and a gentleman has no bearing on his skills as a professional actor. He also stated that he would never publicly critique anyone in the business.
al Hospital Spoilers – Tristan Rogers Criticizes Peter August Casting
GH spoilers reveal that a video circulated of Rogers sharing his perspective on Peter August’s casting and storyline. The actor does not believe Ramsey was a good fit for the character. He suggested that the role should have gone to someone who has a natural menace about them. He believes that Ramsey is too polite and too much of a gentleman. As for the writing, he feels that the character had bad storylines, He added that the writers have painted Peter into a corner and are struggling to correct their mistakes.
“He’s got himself into a horrible storyline, and the storyline is the fault of the show. And what they’ve literally done is they’ve painted themselves into a corner and they don’t know how to get out of it except to make it worse.”
GH Spoilers – Problem Is Writing, Not Actor
While Rogers criticized the casting decision, that had nothing to do with Ramsey’s skills as an actor. In fact, he made it clear that he looks at Ramsey as a strong actor. His critique was more about picking the right people to go with certain characters. That while Peter is a villain, Ramsey doesn’t’ have that bad guy appearance or vibe. Rogers also stated that the biggest problem with Peter was the writing and put the blame on the soap.
al Hospital Spoilers – Wes Ramsey Responds To Public Critique
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Ramsey has responded to Roger’s criticism. Before sharing his own perspective on the casting decision, Ramsey prefaced the social media post by saying he would never publicly critique anyone in the business.
“You will never hear me critique (on any public platform) the people responsible for the creative opportunities I enjoy each day. Without the trust of my writers, directors, producers, and fellow actors, it would be impossible to live out my dreams.”
GH Spoilers – Politeness Not Relevant
Ramsey defended him getting the role of Peter and said every actor must be confident that they are right for the character. If they don’t, then they will never reach their full potential. Then the actor had something to say about Rogers’ “polite” and “gentleman” comments. He shared that he was raised to be a gentleman, but being polite has nothing to do with his skills as an actor or the ability to play a certain character.
Well, what do you think of Tristan Rogers’ criticism about the casting for Peter August? Now that Wes Ramsey has responded, what is your opinion on the situation?

I want Peter to be taken in a better and positive direction going forward. I hope that this situation will get better at some point. I hope that Peter and Maxie will somehow make it through. I hope that Lou will be alright. I believe that Peter can come through for Maxie and Lou. I hope that the relationships of Anna, Valentin, and Peter are rebuilt. I believe that Anna and Valentin should be Peter's parents instead. It is really sad that Faison and Alex are his parents. I hope that something will turn this sad and dark situation around for everyone in the end.
I am just not seeing how they can redeem him??
So how will they write Peter out of the corner they put him in????? They did the same thing to Julian….I love Tristan Rodgers…but I think we need to keep some comments to ourselves…look where it got Chris Harrison….Kindness and respect everybody!!!!!!!
Peter more than likely has information on some bad people that could help to bring them to justice. He could do something to help the WSB or the PCPD on some matter. The only one who is still not mostly cleared is Drew. Peter can find a way to make sure that Scout is taken care of in some fashion if Drew is really gone. He can make sure that Sam is completely cleared as well. Then he can go back to living a law abiding life. He was doing that for a year before Shiloh called him. He can do it again. He can overcome for Maxie, Lou, and others.
He should die while saving Maxie or Obrect or Franco. He would redeem himself slightly in the eyes of PC and most of all Maxie and Lou. Writers can't always only kill the good characters, while the evil ones go to Ferncliff or the Hague. We still have Ryan lurking, & now mentions of Heather making an appearance. We need a new really GOOD guy, like Nathan. I thought it would be Chase, but they screwed that up with the "cheating" storyline.
I don't know how Peter is redeemed at this point. He has murdered, or caused the murder, of multiple people. He was behind Drew and Jason being held in the hospital and the mind "swap", Sam thought Jason was dead and then everyone thought Drew was Jason, including Drew. How many people have died related to things Peter has done? I think, but am not sure, he had a hand in Nathan's death as well. If they give him a slap on the wrist and everyone is fine in a month I'll be so upset, given how many characters have disappeared into "jail" and never returned for lesser crimes. Peter is the child of Faison and Alex, his child is on the way. Saints preserve us! I like the actor, the writers have really burned his character. No matter what he might "know", for a plea deal? He should be gone. Sadly.
Completely blown way out of proportion. Tristan is merely saying that Wes is a nice guy, and Peter is not. And the fans have voices how unhappy they are with this Peter story dragging on for years. Tristan had never shyed away from speaking about the writing of the show. Also, this was most likely a Cameo that someone apparently asked him his personal opinion about the Peter story. It should not have been shared publicly anyways.
