General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Ryan Paevey played Detective Nathan West in Port Charles, NY on GH from 2013 to 2018. Since then, he’s been very busy, including inking a fabulous deal with the Hallmark Channel. He doesn’t just act, though. He served as producer on a short, competed on Dancing With the Stars, belted out Christmas songs and is now filming a documentary.

Earlier this year, Ryan Paevey spoke with Digital Journal and shared some interesting tidbits that fans might not know. For one, he has a photographic memory. Soaps are not the easiest medium to work in because they are very intense and fast-paced. You need to show up, be ready and you better know your lines. This wasn’t too hard for Paevey because he has a photographic memory. His record for the most pages of a script he memorized in one day is 76.

When Paevey left GH, he actually had no idea what he was going to do. He didn’t have another job lined up. He didn’t know if he would work in the entertainment business again. What he did know is that he could fall back on his pre-acting jobs to pay rent and buy food if necessary (he used to work in construction). However, it seems that he was destined to be a star. He signed a deal with Hallmark Channel, which changed Paevey’s life.

Ryan Paevey’s Hallmark Movies

The former GH star is now a well-known face in Heartie’s living rooms. He has already starred in several movies for the Hallmark Channel. Some of these include Unleashing Mr. Darcy, Harvest Love, Marrying Mr. Darcy, Hope At Christmas, From Friend to Fiance, A Timeless Christmas, Matching Hearts, A Summer Romance and Christmas at the Plaza.

Dancing With The Stars And More

In 2018, Soap Opera Spy asked Paevey if he would ever compete on DWTS. He had actually been asked multiple times, but always said no. The actor explained that he just can’t dance and would never, never, never go on Dancing With the Stars. Well, they must have worn him down because imagine everyone’s surprise when he strutted his stuff on the dance floor two years later!

As for where Paevey is now, his most recent project is “A Timeless Christmas.” He not only starred in the Hallmark movie, but also performed “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” He served as producer of “To the Moon and Back,” as well as “Slate.” He is also filming a documentary titled “A Renaissance Reborn.”
