General Hospital Spoilers: Where We Last Left Tracy and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s Relationship – A Recap

When it comes to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), a scheme has usually been at hand. It can be said that Brook Lynn has the case of granddaughter like grandmother! For the first time since 2011, Brook Lynn and her grandmother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), will be sharing the GH screen together! Like with most of her relatives, Tracy and Brook Lynn have never really seen eye to eye or gotten along that well. What makes this relationship so fun to watch though is the similarities between Brook Lynn and Tracy. Even Ned, Brook Lynn’s father, mentioned that fact recently, but both refuse to see it.

The last time these two ladies were on the screen together they bickered and fought the whole time, but also, separately, scheming to the extreme! It was in the years of 2010 and 2011 that last had Tracy and Brook Lynn going head to head every time they were in a scene. Brook Lynn was scheming with Carly (Laura Wright) to break up Dante and Lulu, while Tracy was wrapped up in her fake marriage to Luke.

When Carly and Brook Lynn’s plans fell apart, Carly kicked her out of the Metro Court and had nowhere to go. Brook Lynn tried to go home to the Quartermaine mansion, but Tracy was not having it. Brook Lynn even asked Tracy during this time, “Why is it that my own grandmother is always looking for the worst in me?” She asked this because Tracy was speculating that she was not being honest with her intentions of changing her scheming ways.

Tracy goes on to compliment Brook Lynn’s intelligence but that “she is a manipulator … and you do not have me fooled.” Tracy turned out to be right because Brook Lynn was found stealing money from the Quartermaines that very same episode and found herself shortly kicked out.

Brook Lynn went on to live with Nikolas Cassadine. While Tracy and Brook Lynn were still not on the best of terms that did not stop her from attending Tracy and Luke’s real marriage at the Quartermaine mansion. Quartermaine family will always show up for each other in big moments no matter the drama. Tracy started having doubts at the altar, if she was going to really trust Luke. Lulu, who was Tracy’s bridesmaid, tried to calm her down with kindness, but that was not happening fast enough for Brook Lynn’s liking.

Brook Lynn stood up and confronted Tracy in the middle of the ceremony’s pause, to tell her to stop having second guesses and get married already. This was not out of the kindness of her heart for Tracy, but rather because she wanted a to “drink already.” This was met with rousing cheers from all the wedding guests!

Pretty soon after in 2011, Brook Lynn left Port Charles to resume her music career with the help of her mother. Tracy left in 2017 for life in Amsterdam. Two years later, both Tracy and Brook Lynn have found themselves back in Port Charles.

The real intentions why Tracy and Brook Lynn have come back to town are not known yet, but knowing those two, they have some underlining purpose! It is going to be fun to watch their banter again as we turn in and find out their real intentions. Will they keep fighting or team up this time? The could be a powerhouse team if they did. Who knows, but every time Brook Lynn calls her granny is a great moment!
