General Hospital Spoilers: Who Is Mystery Man Z? The Answer Could Change Everything

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease a mystery man called “Z” is will be coming to help in the takedown of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)!

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was told by Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) to contact Z with his code and under “Ex Machina”-but it came with a risk of arrest.

The Question Is, Who Is Z?

The question is, who is Z, it’s implied he’s a higher up in the WSB, obviously over Cullum, but also someone who might arrest Valentin if he approached him.

However, there doesn’t seem to be any other way, even if Jack quit faking his locked-in syndrome, he couldn’t outrank Cullum to go over his head, and he’s using locked-in as a cover!

Obviously, Valentin didn’t like the idea of contacting  Z, who apparently is a law and order type of individual, and fears being put back in Steinmauer under Jack’s fugitive warrant.

Jack did, however, tell Valentin that they have to work together, that is the only way to find Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and to take down Cullum and Sidwell.

Jack may have been assuming that Josslyn’s been put in a WSB black site like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) but he has none of his files or equipment, Cullum having demoted him.

A Lot Of  Fans Think Z Stands For Zacchara

A lot of fans think Z stands for Zacchara, namely, Johnny Zacchara (most recently Brandon Barash).

However, the last time anyone heard, he was in prison, and although the WSB’s been known to have a few criminals as personnel now and then-Cullum currently, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) past, Johnny doesn’t make sense!

“Z” is not the individual’s last initial, it’s a code word, and being the last letter of the alphabet, it could mean the last person anyone would believe, so maybe Johnny could fit. However, as the old saying says, Johnny Zacchara being “Z” is a pretty big if!

This Is Jack’s Second WSB Demotion, So Who Took His Place As WSB Director?

Cullum is the director of the European division of the WSB, and before he went down for Pikeman and did time in prison, Jack was Cullum’s counterpart in the USA.

So when Jack returned as the head of the WSB Field Office in Port Charles, NOT the national director, who took his place, could that be Z?

That doesn’t necessarily make sense either if the person could take down both Sidwell AND Cullum, who would be his European counterpart-it makes more sense that Z is over the worldwide WSB.

The only person mentioned over all the WSB directors is the deputy director, Mia Granahan (uncast) but while she could fire Cullum, could she take down Cullum and Sidwell and find Joss?

That, as we mentioned previously about Johnny Zacchara, is also a pretty big if!

Three Strikes, And We’re Out!

Here are some more possibles for the identity of “Z”, although after three strikes, we’re out; might Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) return for an arc, considering “When Calls the Heart” isn’t filming right now?

Might Annie Donely (Caitlin Reilly) be Z; again, possible, but not all that likely-although you never know; Frisco does make sense.

Another candidate for Z who might be on double duty in Port Charles right now is Joe Fitzpatrick, (Jonathan Bennett) but why didn’t he arrest Sidwell when he was at Wyndemere for Pascal Leveque (Marc Forget)?

Depending on when Z is contacted and shows up, it’s possible Z could be the new character named for Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) could be Z, if the Cullum-Sidwell storyline drags out into July, but bear in mind he, as well as the returning Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) just started filming.
