Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) seems like the most likely candidate. Since the alleged death of his father Nikolas Cassadine (last played by Nick Stabile), Spencer has been in boarding school in Switzerland.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is his guardian, but Spencer is a precocious child and his distaste for Valentine is well known but why would he go to Jax and Hayden for help with the codicil? It seems more likely he would go straight to Laura for help.
General Hospital SpoiIers – Is Spencer Cassadine’s Father Nikolas alive?
Another, more likely scenario is that Spencer’s dad is really alive? He was supposedly shot by Valentine and presumed dead a couple of years ago, but there have been several hints that he is still alive.
Chelsea Lam (Jen Ray), the new psychic in town, has hinted to both Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Laura that Nikolas is still alive. And given his past with Hayden, it’s not that much of a stretch that he would reach out to her for help. And let’s not forget that according to Chelsea, Nik is in danger.
If Nikolas confronted Valentine at some point after his presumed death, it’s entirely possible that Valentine is keeping Nik locked up somewhere to keep him from finding the codicil and getting the Cassadine fortune back.
General Hospital SpoiIers – Will Yet Another Cassadine Member Resurface?
It’s also possible that Nikolas is in hiding and using the fact that he is presumed dead to stay under the radar, letting Hayden and Jax take the lead until its safe for him to reveal himself. This seems very likely given all the hints about Nik’s return. But there is another possibility as well.
Casting news shows that Michael E Knight is joining General Hospital in an undisclosed role. It’s possible that he may be playing a recast Stefan or Stavros or maybe even another Cassadine we have never heard of until now! This would bring him into Laura’s orbit and at that point, anything could happen?
Do you think Spencer is the silent partner. Or Nikolas? Someone else? Anything can happen in Port Charles and it’s a sure bet that some exciting scenes are coming up. Stay tuned weekdays to General Hospital on ABC!
