General Hospital Spoilers: Who Takes Over for Sonny If He Is Sent To Prison — Jason, Carly, or Michael?

General Hospital Spoilers gossip Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may finally be going down for all of his numerous crimes. While some have certainly passed the statute of limitations, others — including the many murders he’s committed or ordered to be carried out — have not expired. He can still be held accountable for them, and he’s ready to turn himself in for the sake of his family.

Even if Sonny manages to backpedal out of any such confessions, the evidence is likely to start piling up against him that points to him having killed FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington). So, if Sonny goes away, who is going to take up the mantle at the business?

General Hospital Spoilers — The Coffee Warehouse Lingers On

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) can certainly handle things at Corinthos Coffee — a brand that may lose some of its appeal if Sonny actually comes clean or is convicted of the crimes he has committed.

Still, we expect some people are hooked enough on their fave form of caffeine that they don’t care whose name is on it or what they really use the business for.

Ahem, laundering. As Jason keeps things squared away at the coffee warehouse though, he may have little time for also being the figurehead of the mob enterprise Sonny has championed for decades. If not him, then who?

GH Spoilers – Hint Carly Spencer May Take Center Stage Again

The last time Sonny dipped out on his responsibilities with the business, everyone thought he was dead. To safeguard her family from being taken over and potentially in harm’s way, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) stepped up at the head of the organization.

She met with the Five Families and led Sonny’s business with Jason at her side to help her run things. While much of it was for show, she pulled it off — just barely. It’s not likely that she’ll be up for that again.

This time around, it’s Sonny’s own bad decisions that are leading to the end of his empire, not his death that left her broken and missing him. Besides, she can barely stand helping him out with his alibi, let alone giving up her life and businesses to run his.

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos Seems Well-Suited For This

On the other hand, someone else in the family may be willing to step into this role now, however controversial. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has always held that he wanted to be nothing like his father and wanted even less to do with his criminal enterprise. Yet here we are.

Michael just helped his father cover up the murder of a federal agent. He swooped into action like it was no sweat off his bank. Will it be Michael who is up for the challenge of becoming a mob boss?
