Florence was married to Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) biological father, Gordon Gray (Eric Server). Leslie Webber (Denise Alexander) was a newly hired cardiologist and Florence was her first patient. Florence was in a failing marriage and had stomach ulcers as a result.

According to Soaps In Depth General Hospital’s Florence began seeing a psychiatrist for her issues and opened up about an affair her husband had with a student years ago. Florence said the girl had gotten pregnant and the baby had died. Leslie heard about this affair and realized Florence was talking about her. Gordon wanted to leave his wife claiming that he loved Leslie. Leslie convinced Gordon to reconcile with his wife, and he did. Gordon and Florence left Port Charles. When Leslie learned that the child was still alive she went looking and found Laura.

General Hospital’s Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) showed up in town as Valentine Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) lawyer. However, Martin is also connected to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who seems obsessed with Laura Collins. Did Florence and Gordon have a child after they left Port Charles?
