Hayden has been gone from Port Charles for years. She came back to help Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) to get the Cassadine fortune from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). However, Nikolas decided to threaten Hayden to get her to leave Port Charles because he thought that Hayden was going to help Valentin.

GH recaps reveal Hayden left her daughter Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) because she believed that she was in danger from Valentin. Violet misses Hayden but has been happy with her father Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Finn has been able to give Violet a loving family environment.

Violet has the love of her aunt Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Liz wants to help Violet and Hayden to be reunited. Violet was visited by her grandmother Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) who wants to spend time with her. Finn is unsure if Violet should spend time with her grandmother because she might miss Hayden more. Finn and Liz want Violet to be happy. They may start to look for Hayden together.

Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) wants to find Hayden on General Hospital. He was sent to Pentonville Penitentiary for shooting her years ago. Shawn has been getting help from Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to help him find Hayden. Sam found out from Liz that Naomi is back in Port Charles. Sam let Shawn know that they might be able to get some information about Hayden from Naomi.
