General Hospital Spoilers: Why Alex Definitely Isn’t The Hook!

General Hospital spoilers reveals longtime GH fans already know what’s happening on that drone footage. It’s not artificial intelligence or photoshopping. It’s an evil twin. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has believed her sister — Alex Devane (Finola Hughes) — to be dead for a few years now. But of course she wasn’t, and of course Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) knew that. He’s probably been working with her all this time to stage the perfect comeback. For years, Victor and Anna have tried to take each other down, and it seems like Victor might win now — at least for a little while. Still, Alex’s return to Port Charles has some fans thinking she’s The Hook. That’s highly unlikely.

General Hospital Spoilers — The First Four Victims

The current victims of The Hook don’t really have any connection to Alex. The first victim, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), is obviously linked to Victor, but he probably would not have any reason to kill Ava. In fact, he wants Ava in the picture so he can keep inciting anger and resentment in her from a distance that can push her to divorce Nikolas. That being said, taking her out would be a faster route to clearing her of any interest or right to the Cassadine fortune.

The second victim — Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) — has no attachment to Alex or Victor. Neither does the third victim, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy). The fourth victim of The Hook — Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) has no connection to anyone but Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), but it may have benefitted Victor to have Alex take him out if Oz was going to put Esme at risk — that is, assuming Esme is part of Victor’s plan to take Nikolas down.

GH Spoilers – Indicate Alex Prefers A Gun

The drone footage we saw clearly shows Alex used a gun to attack Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). There’s no reason to suspect she’s wandering around using different weapons on different people. It’s possible, but it’s not likely.

General Hospital Spoilers — Diane Jenkins Knew That Face

The most concrete evidence that Alex is not The Hook is that Diane actually saw her attacker. There’s been little focus on this since it happened and Diane woke up to give testimony. However, she said the attacker was definitely a woman and that she had seen that face before. Given that Alex has the same exact face Anna does, Diane would’ve instantly recognized her attacker as Anna had The Hook been Alex. Enough said.
