General Hospital spoilers show that Cameron Mathison is a busy man these days, portraying Drew Quartermaine on the ABC soap, and starring with Great American Media, the entity behind GAF, Great American Family.

Fans got used to seeing him as Detective Mike Kingston on the Hannah Swensen Mysteries, once known as Murder She Baked, opposite Alison Sweeny (Days of our Lives, Sami Brady). Like Candace Cameron Bure, Mathison left Hallmark for GAF. This is why Mathison left Hallmark for Great American Family.

Cameron Mathison told US Magazine that while he began with Hallmark, Great American Family has a ton of people who also have moved on from Hallmark.

He said: “I love working there and [on] my Murder She Baked series with Allie Sweeney and everybody else. Those are my friends, and I love doing those movies, and they’re still going.”

Is Mathison oblivious to Sleuthers? Not at all: “I think a lot of the viewers are now watching both.” Apparently Mathison’s decision was a business one as he received a three-year deal from Great American Media.

Of course the best news is that fans can watch Mathison on GH and he is involved in more than one front burner plot. But fans are not exactly thrilled with one of those storylines!

Mathison’s character Drew Quartermaine recently dropped Cain as a last name, and that move says a lot about the twists and turns that the character has gone through on the ABC soap.

Drew has been through more iterations than we can count and at this moment he is a very bad boy, playing a mother-daughter duo for all they’re worth.

In case you’ve missed it, Drew is bopping Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and he’s kissed her daughter Willow Quartermaine (Katelyn MacMullin). Ew.
