General Hospital Spoilers: Why Didn’t Nikolas Get Confused When He Saw Jason With His Old Face On The Docks?

General Hospital spoilers tease that there is a question General Hospital viewers might have about Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), especially those viewers who have been watching for a few years; why wasn’t Nikolas confused by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) having his old face when he saw him on the docks?

The Last Time Nikolas Cassadine Had Seen Jason Morgan, He Had Drew Cain’s Face

General Hospital viewers will recall that the last time Nikolas had seen Jason before Nikolas showed up alive in Port Charles, it had been on Cassadine Island in 2016, shortly before Nikolas “died”. Back then, Jason had been thought dead and had been brought back to Port Charles by Dr. Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) but was hit by a speeding car as he was making his way back into town, by Ava Jerome (Maura West)! He had to have numerous plastic surgeries to his face and because of trauma to his throat his vocal cords were affected and he looked nothing like Jason.

He turned out of course to be Jason’s previously unknown identical twin, Drew Cain (Billy Miller), who also was no longer identical, obviously. Nikolas was looking right at Jason as he and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) rescued Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) on the docks the night Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) was killed. Why wasn’t Nikolas confused by Jason having his old face when he supposedly was “recovering” for all those years and out of touch with everyone in Port Charles until recently?

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine “Knew” “Jake Doe” Was Jason Morgan

When Drew first came to town and he had amnesia, he went by “Jake Doe” and he was living with Elizabeth Baldwin, then Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and her boys. Nikolas found out he was really Jason and helped Elizabeth keep it a secret! He obviously knew that Jason didn’t look like Jason any more, and he didn’t know anything about Drew; so why didn’t Nikolas seem taken aback by Jason in his old face?

Perhaps Nikolas hid out or was recovering in the Boronsky Clinic in Russia for a while too? After all, the reason Jason got out and came back to Port Charles to begin with is because Ava helped him escape and got friendly with “Patient Six” because she hoped he might be Nikolas! Nikolas has mentioned that when he went out the window after being shot by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that he was rescued in the water.

But by whom and how long after he fell? Drew (then thought to be Jason) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Kevin and Laura Collins, (Jon Lindstrom, Genie Francis) Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) were all there as well as Ava, who had travelled to Cassadine Island with Nikolas, and it was the next morning before anyone besides Ava knew he had been shot. Undoubtedly someone would have tried to rescue Nikolas if they had known that he’d been shot and fell over the balcony!

General Hospital Spoilers – Could Peter August Have Been On Cassadine Island When Nikolas Cassadine Was Shot?

General Hospital viewers know that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Valentin Cassadine go back a long, long, time, even back until the time that Peter was born as Heinrik Faison. Valentin mentored Peter and kept an eye on him, and it seems like where Valentin was, Peter was also for most of his life.

We now know that Peter was on Cassadine Island when Drew was kidnapped out of Afghanistan, and working for Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Could Peter have also rescued Nikolas and took him to the Boronsky Clinic where Jason was to recover? If Nikolas saw Jason there, that would answer the question of why Nikolas wasn’t confused by Jason having his own face!
