With his father Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) recently returning from the dead, and now helping foot the bill for his education, why would Jake be leaving town? After all, the two finally made amends after months of conflict.
GH Spoilers: Hudson Weston’s Other Projects
As of this writing, neither Hudson West nor the soap has made an official announcement that the character is exiting. Still, on the young actor’s IMDB page, there are three projects he’s working on that could affect his GH filming schedule and may be the reason Jake is heading to school out of town.
Hudson is working on a thriller titled The Arborist, as well as playing Young Butch in Butch Cassidy’s Forgotten Outlaw movie. In addition, he’s working on an anthology television series called, Like It Was Yesterday, where he plays the role of Young Cole.

GH fans have been flooding X, formerly known as Twitter, posting videos of scenes with Jake and Jason together, and West has been reposting these tributes. Jake and Jason had a heartfelt scene on the Monday, July 15 episode, where Jason gave his son the money he needed to attend art school.
While Jake is off to Spain that doesn’t mean fans will see “less” of him, as he currently appears on the soap sporadically as it is. Besides, it wasn’t too long ago that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) was sent to boarding school, and she arrived back on the scene this week, very unexpectedly.
After all, just because Jake is in Spain, this doesn’t mean he won’t return to Port Charles regularly for holidays, and other reasons. Then again, there’s also a chance that he backs out of the entire thing, right before he leaves for some dramatic reason. Only time will tell.
