General Hospital spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is bankrolling Nelle Benson Archer’s (Chloe Lanier) legal needs, and paying Attorney Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) to represent her. General Hospital viewers will recall from a recent GH episode that Valentin reminded Martin that he was working for him, and not to let Nelle know he wasn’t really working for her. There is no link between Nelle and Valentin – that we know of! Valentin surely wouldn’t try to romance Nelle and marry her to get her money, would he?

He would never get Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) back that way, and he knows that Nelle would not be a suitable stepmother for Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) as well; what could be their connection and what would be a way for Valentin to get ELQ shares from Nelle?

GH Spoilers – Is Nelle Benson Really Frank Benson’s Daughter, Or Is She Also Adopted, As Carly Corinthos Was?

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was adopted by Frank and Virginia Benson (uncast characters) because they could not have children of their own. As far as Nelle knows, Frank was her natural father with another woman after he left Virginia and Carly when Carly was younger, but she had a keepsake box with some of Carly’s baby things in it.

It seems strange that she would have that if Frank left the family when Carly was only three years old and Carly was raised by Virginia! What possible reason would Frank have to take that along with him? Virginia should have saved that for Carly when she grew up, and yet Frank must have had it for Nelle to have it! Who was Nelle’s mother? Could she have had a connection to Valentin Cassadine?

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Would Never Con His Own Daughter – So Whose Daughter Could Nelle Benson Archer Be?

If Nelle was adopted, she could be anyone’s child that the parents or the mother gave up. It doesn’t mean that Valentin perhaps had been involved with Frank Benson’s second wife if Frank wasn’t Nelle’s birth father. General Hospital’s historical storylines about Carly’s adoption only say that Frank and Virginia couldn’t have children, they don’t specify whether one or both of them were sterile and that was the reason why.

Frank could have been sterile and married a single mother but that is unlikely if Nelle only remembers both Frank and her mother as her parents. Valentin is highly unlikely to be Nelle’s birth father because we have the picture of what type of father he is with the way he treats Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

He definitely loves Charlotte even though because of his life and that he has had to be on the run he did have her surrogate mother, Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson) take care of her much of the time until he took over Wyndemere Castle and Cassadine Industries, at which time he took her back and Cassandra Pierce, (Jessica Tuck) his former lover took Claudette captive!

GH Spoilers – Could Cassandra Pierce Have Been Nelle Benson Archer’s Birth Mother?

Could Cassandra Pierce have been Nelle’s birth mother with an unknown birth father and somehow she wound up being adopted by Frank Benson and his new wife? Valentin has no allegiance or remorse for killing Cassandra for kidnapping and endangering Charlotte, and that hatred may extend to any child of Cassandra’s – especially Nelle!

Worse yet, could Valentin’s first search for Nina’s long-lost daughter led him to Nelle and giving her a long-lost daughter like that was something he just couldn’t do, and that’s why he hired Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to do the job?

If either of those scenarios is the real truth, then Valentin will likely want to protect Nina from Nelle and fake a paper trail between himself as fake birth father and Cassandra as birth mother and prove to Nelle, and then somehow worm his way into an alliance with her – which he never intends to keep except to eliminate her and get his shares, once he has convinced or faked paperwork to usurp them from her.
