Some General Hospital fans are wondering, if Willow gave up her baby-her LIVE baby-for adoption, why is she in a bereavement group for parents who have lost their children to death to begin with? Could there be more to her story?
There could be both innocent and not so innocent reasons for her to join this group, but generally a bereavement group deals with grief over death, and teaches the stages of grief so the bereaved family and friends can better understand and deal with their losses.
General Hospital Spoilers – What Is Willow Up To?
Of course, there may not be a separate support group in Port Charles for people who lost their children because they regret giving them up for adoption, or because the child possibly ran away and has not been found, and those parents would certainly go through the stages of grief.
But when Willow reminded Julian that his looking at the adoption papers and contacting her was illegal, she could have given General Hospital viewers an important clue to her motives in joining the support group as well, and Willow could have been the pot calling the kettle black, as the saying goes!
If the adoption was truly a closed adoption, then Willow should not have known who the adoptive parents were either! Perhaps she got an illegal peek at the adoption papers as well, and joined the group already knowing that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was a close relative of Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) by adoption, and got friendly with him so she could get closer to Wiley!

Trying to cozy up to Lucas and Brad (Parry Shen) may have been a little too obvious, but if she could get close to Michael enough for him to invite her to family gatherings, she might be able to at least be on the outskirts of Wiley’s life.
General Hospital Spoilers – Willow Using Michael?
She already has a job as a teacher, and even though teachers may not be the best paid of employees, taking a page from Heather Webber’s (Robin Mattson) old book and trying to get herself employed as Wiley’s nanny would clash with her teaching job. The hours wouldn’t work, and especially with doctors and lab techs as parents who at times can be on call. Of course, she has no idea at this point that “Wiley” isn’t her child, and hers really IS dead!
If Willow’s true motive for joining the bereavement group was to get close with Michael, the triangle with Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) may leave Michael the winner; stay tuned to GH and keep checking General Hospital spoilers frequently to see how the baby Wiley/Jonah story all plays out!

Just wanted to point out that the adoption was not fully closed. The birth parents (Brad and Lucas) weren’t able to know the birth mother’s identity, but Willow picked Brad and Lucas, and even put the stipulation on the adoption that Julian not be a part of Wiley’s life. So Willow has always known who the adoptive parents are. At least this has been my understanding while watching the show.
