General Hospital Spoilers: Will Alexis Get Cold Feet As Marty Gets Closer To Exposing Sonny?

General Hospital spoilers leak Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) reluctantly agreed to Martin ‘Marty’ Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) terms when he explained that he wasn’t trying to get Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) thrown in jail.

In an effort to redirect the PCPD’s attention — along with the fed’s — Marty could highlight just enough doubt about Alexis’ guilt based on the fact that Sonny’s alibi with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was entirely fictitious. Of course, he won’t be expecting the blowback that comes in tow with that — even if he is readily aware that Sonny won’t be happy with him.

After all, the don is footing the bill for Alexis’ legal representation. Can Marty skirt those issues with Sonny, or will unforeseen circumstances cause all of them to end up regretting this? The closer he gets to making it happen, the more likely Alexis may call the whole thing off. But will it be too late?

If Sonny isn’t even looking out for himself, should anyone else be so preoccupied as to put their lives on hold or bend themselves into pretzels to protect him?

Maybe not, but Carly already did a bang-up job of that by giving him an alibi in the first place — a move she might now regret but is forced to toe the line with to keep herself out of prison, too.

With both she and Sonny refusing to put their personal lives on hold to pull off this ruse, why should Alexis — whose life really is on the line — care about either of them when they seem to be leaving her to rot?

GH Spoilers – Reveal The Side Effects Are Unexpected

Right now, Alexis is thinking Marty can close in on Carly and Sonny enough to ruin their alibi but without doing any real damage to either of them.

After all, the PCPD can’t just toss Sonny in jail because it turns out he didn’t have an alibi for the time of Cates’ murder, though it’ll look oddly suspicious that he lied about that.

Marty isn’t even considering that the police won’t go after Sonny, but Carly. If they think she’s the means to the end of Sonny confessing, they could put pressure on her and claim the false alibi was out of concern for proctoring her, not Sonny.

Will Alexis then feel far too guilty thinking about trading places with Carly — a fellow innocent woman with a child far younger than hers — to go through with this plan?

General Hospital Spoilers — Alexis Davis Does An About Face

Alexis isn’t going to trade places with anyone out of sheer convenience for herself. Although her daughters would likely tell her it’s an eye for an eye and Carly knew Alexis didn’t do it either but was okay leaving her in prison and covering for Sonny, Alexis just isn’t going to feel right about paying her back in that way.

Backing off and asking that Marty call off the dogs may not be enough though if the police investigation takes on legs of its own. Can Alexis stop the wheels of justice from persecuting yet another innocent person in Sonny’s place? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
