General Hospital sSpoilers reveal fan chatter that has us thinking Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are going to end up being more than just friends or allies. Coming under fire together at the Metro Court pool suddenly gave them reason to spend time together as they work to figure out who their possible common enemy might be.

At the same time, problems are starting to surface in Anna’s relationship with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), and we know to expect something similar for Sonny’s relationship with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) soon. Will Anna and Sonny find themselves coming together as everything around them falls apart?

Anna has courted a number of interesting men in her day, and she hasn’t always abided by the rules of the law in doing so either.

Bouncing back and forth from being a mom, to a wife, to a best-friend-meets-ex-wife, to a double agent, to a spy, and now to a defunct former WSB agent who is without direction, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if she loses her way a bit.

She’s looking for security all around her and the one place she thought she could rely on it — Valentin’s arms — is coming up empty. Will she really entertain a love affair with Sonny in the face of her love story with Valentin crumbling to the ground?

GH Spoilers – Hint Her Ex-Agent Status Frees Her

In the past, Anna would’ve kept herself in check with this kind of thing. It’s been a long time since she let herself get swept up in her feelings about a man to the point that she would actually throw caution to the wind and jump in without looking first.

Falling in love with Valentin was hardly what she had planned on, but the time was finally right. Luckily, fans have been loving every minute of it — until these last few weeks, that is. Now that Anna is no longer a spy, it seems as though the adventures in her romantic life have stopped, too.

We used to see her and Valentin breaking down case details and solving mysteries together all the time. Now, we see her doing that with Sonny. What gives? Now that she is no longer a federal agent, will she feel free enough to link lips with a mobster?

Assuming Anna is careless enough to fall into bed with Sonny as they grow closer in their efforts to solving the mystery of who is out to get them, there is one prevailing question that arises: what about their other halves? Nina is expecting to marry Sonny any day now.

Some fans don’t think that’s going to happen just yet. It’s possible that the truth is about to come out regarding Nina reporting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) for insider trading.

If that secret reveals itself at the same time that Anna and Valentin hit the skids, Sonny and Anna could find themselves sharing a steamy one-night stand to forget about their troubles.
