Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) came to General Hospital in 2021. First, he appeared out of nowhere to deliver Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby in the woods in a town called Pautauk.

He later came to Port Charles seeking his share of the Quartermaine fortune. As it turns out, Austin is the son of Jimmy Lee Holt and Charity Gatlin, making him Edward Quartermaine’s grandson.
The character didn’t have much of a place on General Hospital for a long time. A very awkward romance with Maxie had fans calling for Austin to disappear and bring back Franco Baldwin. There was a bit of chemistry between him and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) but they never materialized as a couple. Then, of course, Britt died.
Austin may finally get a good storyline and an even better romance with Ava Jerome (Maura West).
General Hospital Spoilers – Austin Gatlin-Holt And Have A Secret On General Hospital
Ava Jerome looked like she had finally found her Prince Charming. For a while, she and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) were the perfect couple. Until he slept with his son’s girlfriend, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

Things got quite out of hand after that, and Ava ended up hitting her husband over the head and presumably killing him. Austin just happened to walk in and help her hide the “body”.
Nikolas’ body then disappeared and he is not really dead. No one knows where he is, except for Autin’s creepy cousin Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey), who is keeping the Cassadine Prince on life support. He is also threatening Ava that he will go to the police if she doesn’t do his bidding. Mason is working for a mystery person who wants Ava to get information on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Austin and Ava are in trouble together. They have been secretly scheming about this for quite some time.

Austin knows who Mason is working for and is afraid for his newfound friend. He is trying to convince Ava to do what Mason wants, and he seems very afraid of this mystery boss. Dr. Gatlin-Holt wants to protect her.
The two are becoming close and, the longer this goes on, the closer they will get. Romance is sure to follow. GH loves a good dangerous love story, and Austin and Ava have the makings of a great one.
General Hospital Spoilers – What happens When Nikolas Comes Back?
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is off to find her son and is taking Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) with her. They are bound to find him. No one knows who will be playing Nikolas, but he is sure to be back.
Nikolas was very much in love with Ava and will want her back, especially when he sees she has moved on with another man. The Cassadine Prince will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
Ava has always been very drawn to Nikolas but, sleeping with his son’s girlfriend and getting her pregnant might be too much for even Ava to forgive. She may be better off with Dr. Holt. That is until we find out who his family really is and what they are up to.
