General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that spending time in prison could trigger Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) memories of prison in Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Drew still lives with two sets of memories, those he has lived since coming to Port Charles, and Jason’s as well that are a result of the memory transfer studies.
General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Cain May Be Shocked
Drew may be shocked if Jason’s memories of times in prison start surfacing, he may think he’s living in a nightmare-there was a period of time he got incarcerated on purpose. It’s doubtful that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has ever spoken about any of his time in prison to Drew, and Jason getting himself in there to protect Michael. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was a newborn when Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Joy Brown) tried to kidnap her and Michael killed Claudia with an axe handle-still, he’d had to do time.
According to GH spoilers, Jason had done something to get himself into prison-to protect Michael, who was then barely out of his teenage years. However, it wasn’t enough and Michael was the victim of a prison rape anyway-can you imagine Drew coming up with that Jason prison memory?
GH Spoilers – Drew Cain Could Start Having Memories Of His Twin’s Crimes Committed
Drew could also start having memories coming up of his twin’s crimes committed-many killings although most were in protection of someone else, usually Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or his family members. Drew may not necessarily have a problem with someone defending another person even if to the attacker’s death, but the Jason he started getting to know on Cassadine Island was different.
Jason hadn’t had to act as Sonny’s enforcer –aka hit man – for quite a while at that time, and he had come to rescue Drew and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Drew really didn’t know, or know much about Jason in his full-on hit man days so having those memories of Jason’s come up could be an unnerving experience!
General Hospital Spoilers – That Shiv Now Makes Sense
Drew didn’t want anything to do with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) but he didn’t realize that was who Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) contacted in Pentonville about watching out for him. If Drew remembers Jason and his knowledge of what happened to Michael in prison, then that shiv would make more sense, as well as someone to protect him. A white collar “criminal” in a place like Pentonville would be a target, let alone a war hero like Drew-many baser elements hate what he represents
.
Drew may think twice about rejecting Cyrus’ protection offer if he remembers Jason’s prison memories and more of what Jason dealt with before they met. He may realize that Pentonville holds worse threats than the ones he dealt with, namely the evil Cassadines and Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

If Drew is to be an individual character, it’s time all memories of Jason’s life are separated from his. Time has come for the two to be independent of the other’s life regardless of the unnecessary reasons writers continue to connect the two. Guess this time around the only way Drew will survive prison is to have Jason’s memories of self preservation. How lame.
