Reports reveal that the show has decided to kill off her legendary Sam McCall character and the actress’s final scene will air sometime in the fall. What’s next for Kelly Monaco?

General Hospital Spoilers – Kelly Monaco’s Star Shines

While Kelly Monaco has spent most of her soap opera career playing the role of Sam, a part she entered into in October 2003, the actress has been involved in other projects over the years.

Moreover, she started in soaps playing Livvie Locke/Tess Ramsey on GH’s sister show, Port Charles, from 2000 to 2003. During her time on both shows she scored two Daytime Emmy nods; one in the Best Supporting Actress category in 2003 for her Livvie/Tessa portrayal and one in 2006 in the Lead Actress category for playing Sam McCall.

Fans can’t also forget the major splash she made in the land of reality television. She was part of the inaugural season of Dancing With The Stars, winning the competition by snagging first place that year, and she also took part in Season 15, hitting the third spot.

GH Spoilers – Could Hallmark Be Calling?

Many soap stars have transitioned from daytime drama to the Hallmark Channel, and at any given time while watching network, fans often see familiar faces from the land of Port Charles, including Ryan Paevey (GH’s former Nathan West) and current GHer, Cameron Mathison (Drew Quartermaine), who ended moving from Hallmark to Great American Family (GAF).

Other soap stars to make the transition include Alison Sweeney (Days of Our Lives Sami Brady), Jen Lilley (Days’ former Theresa Donovan), Vanessa Marcil (GH’s former Brenda Barrett), and Jack Wagner (GH’s former Frisco Jones) – just to name a few!

It wouldn’t be that big of a jump for Monaco to head to Hallmark, as the channel always needs actors/actresses for all the films and series they produce. Could she be the next daytime diva to make that transition?
