General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) is very scared of who his boyfriend really is.
After hearing threats to Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) life, Lucas won’t trust anything Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) says, knowing it will just be more lies.
Lucas Overheard Marco Talking To Cullum On The Phone
Lucas might betray Marco, go against him, and help Britt; this could be risky for Lucas. Recently, Marco was on the phone with Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), talking about taking out Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He was on the parapet when Lucas overheard him.
Lucas had already heard Marco tell Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) that if Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was around, she might see Britt in the catacombs, which sounded threatening. Lucas also heard Sidwell say he and Cullum found a way to make Britt comply.
Lucas Overheard The Part About Witholding Britt’s Medication
Sidwell mentioned they were withholding Britt’s life-saving meds, giving her just one dose at a time until she finished the project-Lucas was horrified by what he heard. To make things worse, Pascal (Marc Forget) was lurking and saw Lucas before he left.
Distressed, Lucas went to General Hospital and confided in Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). She advised him to leave Wyndemere immediately-realizing she was right, Lucas returned to pack his things.
That’s when he overheard Marco say something else terrible; Lucas was about to leave when Marco got aggressive; that was a warning sign. Then Marco twisted things, mentioning his mom’s suicide and pleading with Lucas to stay.
Britt Warned Marco Things Would Not End Well
Britt warned Marco that things would not end well; he was irritated by her warning, but she insisted, “Trust me, Marco.”
She said Lucas would discover his actions and that Marco would lose him. Just a couple of episodes later, Marco’s fears came true as Lucas learned about his deep involvement with Sidwell’s crimes, despite Marco claiming he was innocent.
Lucas also found out that Britt’s life was at risk if she didn’t complete Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project.
Even if they let her do the work, if they keep withholding her medicine or cut her off after the project, her Huntington’s disease will return, leading to severe consequences.
Lucas Feels Foolish For Defending Marco, And Apologized To Carly
They might let Britt die or even kill her to eliminate loose ends; Marco told Lucas he wasn’t the one who threatened Britt; it was his father, Sidwell.
However, to Lucas, that distinction doesn’t matter-he sees Marco as equally guilty for not acting while Sidwell threatens Britt if she doesn’t finish Faison’s work.
Lucas feels foolish for defending Marco to everyone, especially Carly-she was correct about Marco, which upset him, and Lucas ignored his sister, and now he’s apologized.
Now, he feels guilty for how he treated Carly and is very angry with his boyfriend-Marco pleaded with Lucas not to abandon him and promised to improve. He mentioned needing to finish this project and assured Lucas he would stay away from his father’s business.
A Fake Reconciliation With Marco?
Lucas wanted to know about Britt-he had questions about her, too; it’s clear Lucas is worried about her-Marco claimed Britt would leave Sidwell after the project.
Lucas and Britt have never really gotten along, but recently, Lucas suggested they call a truce and be nice-they’ve both been trying hard, and they’ve been professional and pleasant at work.
Now it’s clear Lucas feels bad for Britt-she’s trapped, and her life is at risk and Lucas regrets believing Marco’s lies.
Lucas seems done, but Marco pleaded, ‘please believe me, please don’t leave;’ Lucas agreed to give Marco another chance and even hugged him.
But Lucas’s expression shows he doesn’t mean it at all-this week, Carly talked to Lucas, and he told her she was right about Marco.
Lucas, Britt’s Unlikely Hero?
Lucas may act like he’s giving Marco another chance by staying at Wyndemere, but really, he wants to help Britt get her meds and ensure her safety.
This way, he can assist Britt in escaping Sidwell and Cullum, and also Marco. Lucas feels sorry for Britt due to her serious illness and might feel guilty for not seeing the danger she was in.
He wondered why she was at Spoon Island and thinks she’s just like others, leading them to believe she’s earning money through a private practice for Sidwell, which explains her presence there. Ultimately, everything was happening right in front of Lucas.’
Lucas Doesn’t Really Feel Guilty, But He May Betray Marco To Help Britt
He doesn’t have real guilt, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he betrays Marco to help Britt. Lucas might let Marco believe he’ll stay so they can be together, waiting until the project is finished to move on.
However, it’s likely Lucas will also venture into the catacombs to get Britt’s meds; in a surprising turn, Lucas could be the one to save Britt and obtain those meds for reverse-engineering.
Even if he can’t get the entire supply, just one vial is really all that’s needed. Lucas might claim he knows she has to work at Wyndemere to survive-then, Britt could confess.
Britt May Mention Jason’s Plans For Reverse-Engineering Her Meds, And Lucas Jumps In
She and Lucas might share information, and she could inform him that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) planned to reverse-engineer her medication.
Then, Lucas might get involved and take charge. Britt and Lucas could end up being true friends eventually, despite their complicated history with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), which still affects them.
However, it might be Brad, Britt’s best friend and Lucas’ ex, who reverse-engineers the medication. That just might redeem Brad to Lucas, and they might reconcile.
