General Hospital Spoilers: Will Nelle Pretend to Be Nina’s Daughter?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers revealed that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has been gazing longingly at her half-locket and pining over the mother-daughter relationship she never had. GH fans know that over the course of the last few months there has been a lot of speculation as to just who Nina’s child might happen to be. Now that Nina has hired the dastardly Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) as her personal assistant, could Nelle take advantage of Nina’s weaknesses?

General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson Moves in on Nina Reeves ’s Territory

GH viewers know that Nelle just got hired by Nina at Crimson. Ostensibly, this was to help Nelle gain employment in order to bolster her image as a responsible mother when she goes before the court for her initial child custody hearing. Of course, fans know that Nina has an ulterior motive and is planning to use Nelle’s devious tactics against her.

While Nina is leading Nelle to believe that the latter has manipulated her by pulling on Nina’s motherly heartstrings, viewers know that Nina’s real intention is to backstab Nelle to ensure Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) gets sole custody of Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson).

With that said, everyone knows that Nelle is a mastermind of mental and emotional manipulation. While Nina thinks she is on to Nelle’s game (At least, the obvious portion of it!) it’s entirely possible that Nelle has layer upon layer of deception lined up. As Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) recently told Nina concerning Nelle, “She lies when she doesn’t have to, she steals when she doesn’t need to ….”

Now Nelle is on Nina’s turf, but everyone knows she’s going to be like a wolf on the prowl. Some GH viewers might agree then that Nelle could quickly turn the tables on Nina if Nina isn’t extremely wary.

GH Spoilers – Nelle Benson One Ups Nina Reeves

Some GH fans might be wondering exactly how Nelle could one-up Nina and turn the tables. For starters, if Nina is always moping around her office and staring off into space with her half-locket dangling over her face, how likely is it that Nelle might walk in and see her like this? Doesn’t anyone think Nelle will begin to question Nina’s mood as well as the significance of that necklace?

Secondly, what if Nelle overhears Nina talking to Carly or anyone else about the necklace? With Nelle’s talent for deception, doesn’t it seem obvious that Nelle might choose to use Nina’s loss as a weapon against her? What about Carly? What if Nelle surreptitiously discovers that Nina and Carly have conspired to ruin her custody battle? Does anyone honestly believe Nelle won’t get even?

Given Nelle’s modus operandi it may not be far off the mark to suggest that Nelle, like the Greek goddess Apate, just might pretend to be the daughter Nina never had. Like a spider drawing a fly into its web, Nelle could wind Nina’s emotions around her little finger. Nelle might pull off two victories in short order.

Nina might actually switch sides at the court hearing to help her newfound “daughter.” Then afterward, when the time was right, Nelle could use her emotional leverage over Nina to cripple the older woman beyond repair!
