General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are struggling to pretend they’re anything more than co-parents to Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears).

They’ll have to improve upon their deceptive marketing of their faux relationship if they want the police and feds to buy their story that they spontaneously rekindled their union on the night that FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) was murdered at the Quartermaine mansion.

Rumor has it these two won’t have trouble for much longer though. When tragedy strikes and they are further bonded by shared trauma, will they come out on the other side together again — for real?

Word on the street is Carly and Sonny are both going to experience a tidal wave of emotional heartbreak soon. We’ve seen it before.

While Sonny might have Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) in his corner, she barely knows him. She doesn’t know how to nurse him through his angry spells or somber times the way Carly does.

Likewise, Carly may be into WSB Agent Jack Brennan (Charles Measure), but he won’t provide the comfort that Sonny does. This makes us suspect the loss they experience may be shared. Say it ain’t Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears)!

GH Spoilers – Report It Could Be Sam McCall

We know Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is going to die sometime this fall. Given that the 21-year GH veteran taped her final scenes last week, it’s possible that we may find out how she goes out later this month.

With how much pressure she’s putting on Carly to recant her false alibi and stop protecting Sonny, could it be that it’s the mob boss himself who finally takes her out? Will Carly be a part of that crime too? That wouldn’t be an easy hit for either of them to see through.

Could their shared self-induced grief lead them to lean on each other while being unable to tell anyone else — even Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) — the truth?

It’s also possible that Sonny and Carly will naturally fall back together just because Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) pushes them to that brink.

Diane is already advocating that they move back in together — a move that Carly is strongly against since it would lead Donna to believe their reunion is genuine.

But Carly may be left with no choice if the authorities start poking holes in her claim that she knocked boots with Sonny at the exact time that Cates was killed.
