General Hospital Spoilers: Will Ryan Paevey Return To GH As Nathan West?

General Hospital Spoilers: Will Ryan Paevey Return To GH As Nathan West?General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that some GH fans are thinking about what the new decade could bring on the show. Of course, when fan-favorite characters are killed off of a show, there’s always speculation down the line about whether that character could possibly return someday. And big returns do happen with major characters, although sometimes those roles are recast, as in the case of Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

GH Fans Hope For A Ryan Paevey Comeback To The Show

Well, recently some GH fans were tweeting about their hope that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) might come back and about how much he is missed on the show. GH fans will remember that the character of Nathan was killed off in February 2018, but that hasn’t stopped some fans from wishing that he’d somehow be able to come back.

Of course, the death of Nathan would be a particularly challenging character to bring back since he was clearly killed on screen (i.e., he wasn’t presumed missing) and his body was even shown in the casket for his funeral. But just because it would be challenging doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen. There have been plenty of soap deaths that have seemed certain, only for the character to come back later.

Ryan Paevey Is Open To The Possibility Of A Return As Nathan

Recently, some fans tweeted about a possible return for the character of Nathan, and Ryan Paevey had a response that has left many GH fans hopeful about the possibility for a Nathan revival down the line. In reply to one fan tweet, Ryan replied: “My team and I and the GH powers that be would have to have a serious sit down about that…but for now, let’s chalk them up to fond memories.”

So it seems that there’s no current plan for the character of Nathan to return to the show, but Ryan would be open to the prospect of sitting down and talking about a deal. This has left many GH fans optimistic about the possibility of a return, especially considering that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) seems to be about to get her heart broken again.

Maxie Jones’ Relationship With Peter August Seems Doomed

Of course, Nathan and Maxie were a very popular couple on the show, and now Maxie is in a relationship with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) that is clearly doomed. As GH viewers know, Maxie and Peter have just moved in together, and they are happily in love. But Peter’s got some terrible secrets – he worked directly with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) in Afghanistan to capture Drew Cain (Billy Miller).

Plus, to protect his secret, he apparently arranged for Drew’s jet to crash overseas, and he nearly had Andre Maddox (Anthony Washington) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) killed before he changed his mind and ended up killing his henchman instead. Maxie seems destined to have her heart broken again.

And now that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is investigating Peter, it seems like it will only be a matter of time before the whole truth comes out. And when it does, Maxie is going to be devastated. But that would be the ideal time for her to find out that Nathan somehow survived his shooting and has been off convalescing somewhere for the past couple of years.

Or perhaps he’s been held against his will. There are all sorts of possibilities, and General Hospital fans could certainly live with any of them if it means that Nathan and Maxie are back together. They were a great couple, and it would be great to see him back and being a dad to James West (Owen and Curtis Rufca). Let’s hope that GH fans get their wish this year and we see a Nathan comeback!
