General Hospital spoilers tease that the long-running feud between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) may come to an end because of Sonny saving Taggert’s life in an upcoming episode of GH!

General Hospital Spoilers – The Feud Has Gone On For Literally Years

Longtime General Hospital fans will recall that the feud between Taggert and Sonny has gone on for literally years. Marcus Taggert grew up a poor kid in Bensonhurst, and local policeman Deke Woods (uncast character) took a shine to him and mentored him, treating him so well that Marcus grew up wanting to be a policeman just like his mentor. But he didn’t know the real Deke – he knew the public persona that Deke presented to people on the outside. He didn’t know the Deke that beat upon his wife and stepson, Adela Corinthos (Iris Almario) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

It was Deke locking a young Sonny up in a dark closet that caused his claustrophobia. Then Deke was shot down and killed, and Taggert blamed Sonny even though it was Joe Scully, Sr. (Robert Miano) that actually fired the fatal shot; Sonny, who was just beginning to hang with Scully, had asked him for help after seeing his mother badly beaten by Deke!

GH Spoilers – Marcus Taggert And Sonny Corinthos Now Have A Common Enemy They Must Defeat

Marcus and Sonny now have a common enemy that they must defeat, and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has targeted on both their backs! Cyrus is looking for revenge where Marcus is concerned – he told Sonny he was framed and that’s why he is in prison running things from the outside; Marcus was one of four DEA agents in the deep cover that had infiltrated Cyrus’ gang and brought him down.

Two of the original four are dead, set up to be drug overdoses by Cyrus’ men on the outside, and Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) is the other! Sonny has already had three coordinated attacks against him and his family members in two different cities, so Cyrus has eyes and ears everywhere and has done his homework before setting up those coordinated attacks!

Cyrus is going to want about twenty million dollars of revenge for that warehouse on Water Street in Port Charles that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) bombed into oblivion; and it is clear that Marcus, Jordan, Sonny, Jason, and their families and loved ones will all be in danger!

General Hospital Spoilers – There Will Be A Showdown

There will be a showdown between Cyrus’ goons and Sonny, Jason, and Marcus and the Port Charles Police; and where there’s a showdown, there will more than likely be a shootout! Jordan herself may be involved as well! Marcus and Sonny will be on the same side because Sonny didn’t start this and they will have to all work together to take down Cyrus and his goons!

There are just too many of them and not enough of the good guys! Guns will be drawn, shots will be fired, and Sonny will see a gun trained on Taggert that he doesn’t notice and he’s trying to load his gun; Sonny might be tempted to let him get killed but then as Marcus looks up to see that he’s a target, Sonny takes the gunman out! Now they’re even, in a twisted sort of way – Marcus mistakenly thought Sonny took down Deke and blamed him all these years, but then Sonny shocked him by saving his life! The feud is over!
