General Hospital Spoilers: Will We Ever See Hayden Barnes Again?

General Hospital spoilers reveal everyone continuing to mention Hayden Barnes every few weeks, but nobody ever does anything to search for Violet’s mother.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nobody Cares About Hayden Barnes 

It’s been nearly three years since GH fans have seen Hayden Barnes and even in 2020, Rebecca Budig was only there for a short visit. She introduced Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to his precocious young daughter, Violet (Jophielle Love), was threatened by Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), and left town never to be heard from again.

We thought Hayden might have been the woman screaming in the cell near Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) in the Cassadine Crete prison, but now it looks like that wasn’t Hayden, and instead, it was Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).

At this point, Hayden is necessary for the story considering that Finn is now obsessed with her sister, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), and calling it love. Also, the father she never met, Jeff Webber (William Moses), is in town and the story of Jeff’s adultery needs to be told with a fruit of that adultery.

GH Spolers – Would Rebecca Budig Ever Return?

Actress Rebecca Budig, who first brought Hayden to life in 2015 as a con woman pretending to be Jake Doe’s wife — with Jake Doe turning out to be Jason Morgan and then Drew Cain — but she became a part of the PC scene.

She married Nikolas even after learning that he had her shot, but she also fell in love with Finn and they planned to marry when she became pregnant. Thanks to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) digging up info about her past, she fled PC and left Finn in the lurch, telling him she had miscarried, which was a lie.

When she returned, she had Violet in tow and then left Violet to be raised by Finn, something he is happily doing despite the fact that the little girl needs her mother. That doesn’t mean Budig wouldn’t be thrilled to bring Hayden back one day.

“I am so grateful to the fans who still ask me about General Hospital,” Budig said in the December 5, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “I’m so appreciative that people are like, ‘Come back!’ It’s very sweet and I hear they do still talk about Hayden from time to time on the show. I haven’t heard anything from the show, but I would always be welcome to coming back.”
