ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal that William deVry (Julian Jerome) is over and out in Port Charles, NY but could he be headed back to Pine Valley? Before All My Children left the airwaves deVry played Michael Cambias on ABC’s daytime drama.
Today news broke that former AMC stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are working to develop a primetime version of the sudser, titled Pine Valley. The husband and wife team met on the set of AMC and played married couple Hayley and Mateo Santos before getting hitched in real life.
Reports are that the Live with Kelly and Ryan host and her actor husband are working with AMC super fan Andrew Stearn and Robert Nixon, the son of AMC creator Agnes Nixon, to create a primetime spinoff of AMC titled Pine Valley.
General Hospital Spoilers – Will William DeVry Star In Pine Valley?
William deVry played Michael Cambias in 2003 and returned as a ghost in 2003, 2004 and 2006.
The character was part of a controversial rape plot involving Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) daughter Bianca Montgomery (Eden Riegel). Michael Cambias was the son Alexander Cambias, Sr. and came to Pine Valley to take over several businesses, including Chandler Enterprises, Cortlandt Enterprises, Enchantment and Fusion Cosmetics. He was thwarted by Erica and in revenge he broke into Bianca’s residence and raped her.
GH Spoilers – An All My Children Reboot Is In The Works
Michael was charged with raping Bianca but acquitted due to a lack of evidence. Before long the criminal was found dead in a freezer and Bianca was the main suspect. She was innocent but she did have a baby as a result of the attack.
Yes, Michael is supposedly dead, but do characters ever really die on soaps? Don’t answer that, it’s a rhetorical question!
General Hospital Spoilers – William DeVry Is A Legendary Soap Actor
Right now GH fans are in what seems like a never-ending plot involving Julian’s departure. Just when we think his ticket is punched, it’s Groundhog Day all over again.
We do know however that the actor is no longer on the soap so that would free him up to take a role on Pine Valley. Right now none of the original stars, such as Susan Lucci, have reportedly signed a contract, but with Ripa and her husband behind the project, can the big names be far behind? Don’t answer that, it’s a rhetorical question!

Trouble, I never watched the original but I'm all for getting a new show to look forward to. Just curious, should I start trying to familiarize myself with the history and characters or has it been to long to matter?

Are they nuts… He played Michael Cambias.. Michael raped Bionca Montgomery and Bionca killed him. He was found in a freezer shot.

Me too. I went to high school with Susan Lucci – Erica. She was voted most theatrical. I watched her in high school plays. We sang in the Concert Choir together. She graduated in 1964 and I graduated in 1965. We sang at the New York World's Fair.
I used to watch All My Children every day since the 80s. Then I watched OLTL and then General Hospital.
