General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that there’s a good chance Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) gets acquitted for Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting this week.
With that said, there’s also a good chance she was the one who shot him. Time to talk about what could unfold in Port Charles when it comes to this storyline, below.
Willow Tait Cain Gets Exonerated … Then Confesses?
General Hospital spoilers suggest all arrows are pointing to Willow’s exoneration. After all,
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) just got that anonymous letter, which points to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) at Drew’s house the night of the shooting, and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) knowing about it.
This is sure to come out during the week of December 29-January 2 at the trial, and fans can’t help but shake the idea that Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson’s (Tabayan Ali) presence at the scene of the crime could surface, as well.
With so many factors in the case, and potential suspects in Michael, Trina, and Kai (even though fans know that Kai and Trina didn’t shoot Drew), Alexis may successfully help Willow avoid prison; however, the bigger plot twist in all this would be that Willow did, in fact, pull that trigger (twice).
The Double Jeopardy Legal Ruling
It’s important to note that the ‘double jeopardy ‘rule states that someone cannot be tried twice for the same crime.
Imagine the irony if Drew and Willow are celebrating her acquittal after the trial, only for Drew to remember the night he got shot and horrifically realize that Willow was the one who shot him.
This would make things very messy for the relationship and Drew’s life, overall. After all, he couldn’t go to the authorities with the news, the information would be futile at this point.
Drew went to excessive lengths for Willow, especially where her custody battle for Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko). He would not only feel dumb, but his hands would also be tied in gaining any legal retribution.
Drew has zero conscience, but how would he feel knowing he allowed an attempted murderer as sole guardian for Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante)? Would he try and help Michael keep Willow away from Wiley and Amelia? Only time will tell.
