There’s nothing like a surprise cancer diagnosis during a surprise pregnancy that ends with a surprise family pairing who never knew they were mother and daughter to keep us on the edge of our seats. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has been putting off cancer treatment despite her doctors’ urging her to move ahead, balanced with plenty of opportunity for informed consent. Willow assumed she would feel more ready to pursue treatment at the start of the second trimester, but upon arrival, she will face second thoughts.
General Hospital Spoilers — Willow’s Worsening Condition
Willow will enter the second trimester with Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) baby — miscarriage-free. She chose to keep her cancer diagnosis a secret from her other half while foregoing any treatment for it. The side effects of treating the cancer during the first trimester would have imposed a much higher risk of miscarriage. Willow chose to sidestep talking things over with Michael and unilaterally decided it was worth the risk to herself not to seek early treatment. But now she is faced with her cancer getting worse — and at a much faster pace than any of her doctors predicted.
GH Spoilers — Carly Will Have to Come Clean
When the family first hears Willow is going to need a transplant, Carly’s first thought is likely to be her last conversation with Willow’s mother, Harmony Miller (Igna Cadranel). Harmony told Carly that while she raised Willow, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was her real mother. She made Carly promise to protect Willow from Nina, to which Carly obliged. But now the tables have turned and Nina may be the only one who can save Willow’s life. Will Carly hesitate to spring into action and save Willow’s life, and that of her grandchild’s, or is she going to keep it to herself and let the chips fall where they may?
General Hospital Spoilers – Indicates Drew Will Hold Carly Corintos Accountable
Drew will sense something is on Carly’s mind, and she’s going to have to tell him the truth — which includes admitting she originally lied to Drew when he asked about the DNA test. All of the time Drew has spent growing closer to Carly, she has been keeping this truth from him and letting him believe Harmony lied when Carly actually did.

Carly’s hesitation to do the right thing will make Drew see her in a new light, and he won’t like it. His resistance to accept Carly’s flaws will remind us once again that Drew is not Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and never could be. Still, Carly may lose her new beau even if she does the right thing and tells Michael and Willow the truth. The result of that, of course, is telling Nina the truth, too. How will Nina and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) respond when they find out Carly has withheld this information ever since Harmony’s death? Will Nina jump at the chance to save Willow once she knows she’s her flesh and blood?
