General Hospital Star Jon Lindstrom Opens Up About His Dual Role

General Hospital star Jon Lindstrom says it feels good to be back home in Port Charles. In fact, the actor, who is best known for his dual role as Kevin and Ryan, says that many people were surprised to find out that he would be reprising both roles ones again after having been MIA for such a long period of time. He first appeared on General Hospital in 1992 before leaving in 1995.

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Jon says in an interview, “The role of Ryan Chamberlain is kind of the reason I have a career! To have this incredibly unexpected reprise of this character that for some strange reason is so beloved was a really welcome thing to me.”

As a matter of fact, Jon adds that no one of the current General Hospital actors knew that his character would be coming back. He added, “Some of them have no idea who Ryan is because some of them were probably not even born yet! It’s been kind of interesting to fill some people in. Laura Wright wasn’t sure what it was about because back then, she was living in New York and doing Loving. She has no idea. She’s like, ‘Who’s this guy? You have a brother or something?’”

Of course, fans will be able to fill in the missing pieces in the coming weeks as Jon will bring his characters back to life. Viewers will just have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
