General Hospital Steve Burton Bombshell: Ex-Wife Alienating Him From Daughter, Blocking New Wife & Headed To Court Again

General Hospital spoilers note that fans are gearing up for Jason Morgan’s return, as Steve Burton is currently filming on the set.

With that said, a recent TMZ report reveals more drama in the soap star’s personal life, including allegations that his ex-wife, Sheree Burton, is trying to alienate him from their daughter, Brooklyn. 

Steve Burton’s Battle

TMZ obtained legal documents from Steve that claim Sheree is trying to undermine his relationship with their 11-year-old daughter.

Steve and Sheree were married for over 20 years and officially divorced in July 2023. They share two other adult children.

In the court files, Steve notes that Sheree places obstacles when it comes to his court-ordered parental time.

He adds that his ex-wife purposely causes conflict that is “blatant parental alienation.”

He also noted that Sheree seems to have issues with his new wife, Michelle, as she refuses to acknowledge the women’s role in his life, or Michelle’s daughters as stepsisters to Brooklyn.

Burton alleged that Sheree texted him stating she was not okay with Michelle picking Brooklyn from school.

In addition, he claims that his ex-wife is starting to undermine his relationship with Brooklyn and Michelle, who he believes is a loving stepmom.

Steve claims in the filing that Sheree was not accommodating when it came to Brooklyn visiting him in Tennessee after he moved there from California.

Sheree has denied Burton’s ‘parental alienation’ allegations, noting that she just didn’t want Brooklyn gone for longer than three weeks.

Sheree stated that she’s flexible to her ex-husband’s requests as long as they are good for their child.

Steve had Sheree in court earlier in 2026, alleging she was not complying with a court order.

Unfortunately, this is a “he said/she said” situation, so hopefully both parties can come to some sort of resolution soon.
