General Hospital Viewers React To All My Children’s ‘Erica Kane’ Reference During Recent Episode

General Hospital (GH) is the last of the daytime dramas on ABC, so it’s always nice when they sprinkle in some references to their now-canceled, sister soaps, One Life to Life (OLTL) and All My Children (AMC).

Amongst all the drama that hit the fan during the Tuesday, December 10 episode, GH fans reacted in a big way when a small reference to AMC’s Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) was mentioned.

General Hospital – Fans Were Buzzing About The Scene

On Tuesday’s show, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) stormed into Nina Reeve’s (Cynthia Watros) office, looking for answers on where Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Spears) was.

The newly awakened comatose mom was desperate to find her daughter, and as she knows Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) left town with her, Lulu was hoping Nina could offer insight into their whereabouts. Nina couldn’t help, which triggered Lulu and the two had a major confrontation.

Of course, Nina’s assistant popped in during the explosive face-off, to let her know that Erica Kane was on the phone. Enraged at Nina’s lack of information, Lulu hung up on the iconic AMC character before Nina could speak to Ms. Kane.

This wasn’t the first time Erica’s name has been mentioned within GH’s storylines; however, considering Alexa Havins Bruening once played Babe Carey on AMC, the reference was an interesting one.

GH Spoilers – Fans React In A Big Way On X

Of course, GH fans hopped on to the social media platform X, and one was quick to point out that, “Somewhere in Pine Valley, Erica Kane is staring at her phone receiver thinking … that voice sounded familiar!”

One X user pointed out that apparently, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had once hung up on Erica from Nina’s phone, too, stating, “Let me make one thing clear, Erica would never call any business back that would ever had the gall to hang up on her… not my Erica Esmeralda Kane!!!”
