Although McKenna didn’t provide an exact timeline, he did insist that “Finola is on her way back!”

Of course, that was music to many GH fans’ ears. It’s been far too long since Anna was a real part of the action in Port Charles.

Anna’s exit came after she was held hostage at Wyndemere and driven off her rocker.

Since Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) didn’t want Anna uncovering the truth about their secret project, they made sure Anna came to believe Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) somehow survived and had come back for another round of torment.

Anna was eventually ditched in France, where she got into an altercation with a police officer before getting forced into a mental health clinic.

Between Anna’s legal drama and her insistence that Faison is alive, there are good reasons for her to be off-screen right now.

However, that hasn’t stopped Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) from missing Anna and wishing her grandma could be back in Port Charles again.

Plenty of viewers are hoping the same thing – and based on McKenna’s X post, Finola Hughes’ return is finally happening.

Faison is still nothing more than a brain in a jar, but there’s another member of his bloodline to worry about.

Naturally, we’re talking about Cassius Faison, who’s been posing as Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and stirring up trouble.

Cassius is part of Cullum and Sidwell’s clandestine operation, so Anna may become part of sorting out that mystery once she’s back on-screen.

Whatever the case, it’ll be wonderful to see Finola Hughes step back into Anna Devane’s shoes and keep delivering the fantastic performances we’ve all come to expect.
