No Finola Hughes In The Closing Credits

Social media fans were in a frenzy during the close of the Friday, February 13 episode, as a couple of users on X noticed that Hughes was not displayed in the closing credits at the end of the show.

This generally indicates that an actor is off contract, and series regulars are displayed, as well as recurring actors/actresses who have participated in the episode.

This is a shocking development, considering Anna Devane has been a prominent figure in the land of Port Charles (on and off) since Hughes debuted in 1985.

It’s important to note that neither General Hospital nor Hughes has made an official statement on whether the actress has been taken off contract.

General Hospital – Shocking Exits

Hughes not showing up in the closing credits comes on the cusp of Steve Burton announcing he’s taking a “short break” from General Hospital, as the actor has already wrapped up filming on the soap.

With that said, Burton promised in an Instagram post, where he announced his hiatus, that he would be returning to the daytime drama in the summer.

Burton also talked about his “short” departure on the show during a recent episode of his podcast, which he co-hosts with fellow GHer, Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli).

Burton assured fans he was coming back in the summer, and he was sure that GH had some pretty cool storylines lined up for Jason Morgan.

Anna is currently in a mental health institution in France, still reeling from her kidnapping and hostage situation on Spoon Island. Will she return to the canvas anytime soon? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
