General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco Continues Social Media Buzz – Comments On Michael Easton’s IG Post About Time In Port Charles

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that it’s been a crazy few weeks for fans of the soap. Not only has news hit that Kelly Monaco is leaving the show this fall but it has been reported that her Sam McCall character is slated to be killed off.

General Hospital’s – Kelly Monaco’s Social Media Storm

There’s been a flurry of social media activity since, from both fans and Monaco herself, as well as her mother. GH viewers recall that Kelly posted a tribute to the late Billy Miller on the first anniversary of his passing, promising to tell ‘their side of the story’, on Sunday, September 15.

Then her mom, Carmina Monaco, jumped on X/Twitter this past Friday, September 27 to thank fans for their support of her daughter and alert them that the actress filmed her last GH scenes.

Another shoe dropped on Tuesday, October 1, when Monaco commented on a Soap Hub IG post profiling Days of Our Lives star, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) supporting her.

She replied to an IG user’s comment when they implied, she was fired because she didn’t take a pay cut. She talks about how much the Sam storyline stopped after Billy Miller was fired and vowed to make a “proper statement”. The comment on that IG post has since been deleted.

Off the cusp of all that, Kelly more recently hopped on IG to support an old GH colleague.

General Hospital’s – Kelly Monaco’s Comments On Michael Easton’s IG Post

On a lighter note, Michael Easton (GH’s ex-Dr. Hamilton Finn) hopped on Instagram late Tuesday evening and posted an older video during a time he spent in Llanview on One Life to Life (OLTL) when he played John Bain.

The actor revealed that someone had been nice enough to send him a past clip of Bain’s arrival on the soap, over two decades ago and revealed that all the players in the scene were still friends.

Of course, working with Michael Easton, not only on General Hospital but its sister soap, Port Charles, Monaco commented on the post, starting by saying, that Caleb (Morley – from Port Charles) will forever hold the number one spot in her heart, with John McBain a close second.

Fans may recall that Easton’s Caleb Morley character had a love story with Kelly’s Livvie Locke on the Port Charles soap, back in the day.

Monaco goes on to kindly acknowledge that Easton was her first co-star 25 years ago, and how much she cherishes their memories together. She also states she is “forever” indebted to him for leading, teaching, and guiding her through all her daytime firsts.

Kelly also points out that as she celebrates the milestone of being a GH actor for the past 21 years (October 1 was her anniversary), she could never have done it without Michael’s patience and dedication.

Easton took the time to reply to Kelly, thanking her for her kind words. He goes on, in length, to note how great it was to work with, and closes the IG reply by thanking her for sharing her “… beautiful spirit with the world”.
