General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the fall reveal that Sam McCall’s time in Port Charles is coming to an end.
 
After all, an announcement hit recently revealing that Kelly Monaco has been fired from the soap and Sam’s exit is looming.
 
In addition, reports reveal the show is set to kill off the character.

On the first anniversary of Billy Miller’s (GH’s ex-Drew Cain) passing, Monaco posted something interesting on social media, honoring their relationship, but also creating some speculation about her soap exit.

On Sunday, September 15, a year after Billy Miller’s passing, Monaco posted a photo the two together, in front of a bouquet of roses, with a flower in each of their mouths, while making silly faces.
Monaco’s caption reads: “Duces, ‘I’ve got your back and you always had mine’ I will tell our story soon enough … (angel emoji, prayers emoji, heart emoji). I love and miss you … and beyond.”

Many fans speculated within the comment section about “what story” Kelly was referring to in her caption.
 
After all, she’s one of the high-level characters on the soap, with a twenty-year tenure.
 
In addition, she happens to be one of the most popular characters on the show, and as fans have seen less and less of Sam and Kelly onscreen lately, it’s hard not to speculate that she and GH producers may have had some issues.
To boot, “killing” her character off is perplexing, as many fans had hoped that her exit wouldn’t be so final.
 
Still at the end of the day even when a character dies it doesn’t mean they’ve reached the end of the road in a soap opera as it is very common for these roles to be brought back to life.
