General Hospital Spoilers – Franco Baldwin Has Been Andrew Cain In His Mind For Several Months

Franco has been pre-2012 Andrew Cain (Steve Burton) in his mind now for several months, but has gotten discouraged with his reasons for wanting to continue to live as Drew Cain. When his Drew memories first emerged after the memory transfer, his motivation to do so was recapturing a future with Kim Nero (Tamara Braun), who he found out had given birth to his son but Oscar Nero (Garren Lake Stitt) had died several months ago of a brain tumor and he had never gotten to know him. Of course, the real Drew (Billy Miller) had, although he remembered nothing of his relationship with Kim. They had formed a new relationship centered around co-parenting Oscar, however.

GH Spoilers – Franco Baldwin Could Have Left Port Charles For A New Start

Franco became discouraged with Kim during his competency trial and realized she was not the person she once was when they had been together back in San Diego. What really got him to thinking was when he found out she was so desperate for a baby after losing Oscar that she drugged Drew, or “the other Drew” as “Frankendrew” calls him and tried to rape him! Kim had become someone else, someone that his Andrew Cain persona did not want to be with any more.

He also started feeling some compassion for the woman that Franco had left behind when Andrew moved in mentally – Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and her children, in particular Cameron Webber (William Lipton) who he was told would have had his memories and mind had Franco not stepped in to take his place!

General Hospital Spoilers – “Frankendrew” Franco Baldwin Still Has The Option to Try to Regain Franco’s Memories

“Frankendrew” still has the option to try to regain Franco’s memories, and if Andrew feels he has no reason to stay Andrew, he may consider that option. He cannot go to the Navy, the Navy has declared Andrew Cain dead, and all his identification, social security number, and driver’s license say he is Robert Frank Baldwin, even though inside he no longer is that person. The procedure would not be without its risks; he knows that he could be left a vegetable with an empty brain and mind, or his Drew memories could become stronger and more complete, or he could have both Drew and Franco memories.

There are people in Port Charles who, understanding his peculiar situation, would probably employ him but he would be living as one man outwardly and another one inwardly; a peculiar way to live, to say the least! He met real Drew and knows he cared about Elizabeth and her family; and with Kim no longer someone he can trust will not take advantage of his situation, he may decide to opt for the memory transfer. He seems to be getting some memories that are not Drew’s anyway, so that could be a good sign that the procedure might be successful!
