GH & Days Star Steve Burton’s Divorce Finalized From Estranged Wife, Sheree Burton

General Hospital (GH, Jason Morgan) and Days of Our Lives (DOOL, Harris Michaels) star Steve Burton has finally settled his divorce from estranged wife Sheree Burton. The two had been married for 23 years.

As per US Weekly, which obtained court records, the former couple finalized their divorce in December.

Steve and Sheree have decided to split physical and legal custody of their three children, Makena (19), Jack (17), and Brooklyn (9).

As their divorce is uncontested, Sheree, aged 45, requested that the court terminate forever spousal support between her and Burton, who is aged 53.

Fans were shocked to learn that Sheree was pregnant with her fourth child in the spring of 2022. Many naturally assumed it was Steve’s.

However, the soap actor hopped on Instagram in May of that year, noting the child was not his, the two had separated, and Sheree had gotten pregnant by another man.

He made it clear that the two were dedicated to co-parenting their three children and requested privacy from his fans.

He officially filed for divorce in July 2022, noting irreconcilable differences.

Sheree ended up having a baby girl in February of 2023, who was named Izabella. She announced this past October that she’s expecting child number five, with the father who has yet to be publicly identified.

GH News – Steve Burton’s Soapy History

Burton is best known for his Jason Morgan character on GH, a role he played from 1991 to 2012, returning in 2017.

Unfortunately, he was fired from the daytime drama in November 2021, due to the show’s vaccine mandate policy.

He ended up reprising his Harris Michaels role on Days (a character he played on the soap) from the late ‘80s, when he participated in the special, Beyond Salem: Chapter Two, in 2022.

Earlier this year, he joined the “mothership” DOOL “main” show, bringing Michaels to Salem, where he has seemingly settled in.
