General Hospital viewers will remember the night that Sonny got his memories back and came home to Port Charles, he nearly walked in on Carly and Jason consummating their marriage! General Hospital viewers will remember that Sonny and Nina never went that far – although “Mike” tried – Nina pushed him away and tried to get him to remember his past, he didn’t want to! Carly and Jason’s repressed romantic feelings had resurfaced, after pushing them down for years, and Carly told their family and friends that it would be a real marriage, with “all the bells and whistles”! Yet when she finds out Sonny and Nina fell in love in Nixon Falls when he didn’t know who he was or who was waiting for him, she kicks him to the curb!

GH Spoilers – Let Her Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone….

General Hospital viewers, even those who are dyed in the wool Carly fans can see how hypocritical Carly is being by not giving Sonny the benefit of the doubt. Carly fully believes that Sonny would be lying if he told her he and Nina never slept together in Nixon Falls, but her own presumptions took precedence over his explanations! General Hospital viewers know that Sonny didn’t have a snowball’s chance in the fireplace to even try to explain, Carly was tuning out everything he tried to say to her anyway. Maybe that’s because she has never let go of her romantic obsession with Jason – after tearing into Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) over her testimony at the Corinthos compound, she went out and talked to Jason!

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Carly Corinthos Deflecting Her Own Guilt Onto Sonny Corinthos?

Longtime General Hospital viewers know the love story of Jason and Carly, and newer viewers know it through the numerous flashbacks that were aired. Carly was in love with the late Jason long before Sonny ever came to Port Charles, but she was the one who broke Jason’s heart when she left him for the new exciting mobster! Carly as a much younger woman seemed to be a danger junkie and made as much trouble as her adopted sister Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) – maybe that’s why she hated Nelle so much! Perhaps Carly knows deep down if she and Jason had not been interrupted by Sonny’s return from “the dead” that her lust for Jason was, and probably still is much deeper than her love for Sonny!

GH Spoilers – Jason Morgan In The Sky With A Diamond

It is plain to General Hospital viewers that Carly has not moved on from Jason over the years, and perhaps she never will! The night she kicked Sonny out and talked to Jason in the stars, she later went to the footbridge where she and Jason had gone to before their invalid marriage. Perhaps she was thinking of Jason in the sky with a diamond, and indeed the diamond he’d put on her finger was a rock! General Hospital viewers won’t be surprised if now Carly transfers that years-long obsession to his twin, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) who interrupted her soliloquy on the footbridge!
