How General Hospital’s Marcus Coloma Prepared For His Love Scene With Esme

General Hospital spoilers reveal the walls closing in on Nikolas as he tries to hide his affair with Esme Prince from the world. And that little tawdry love scene that seemed to have porn music playing in the background was not easy to do.

General Hospital’s Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Sleeps With His Son’s Sorta-Girlfriend

Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) made a big mistake when he gave into passion and had sex with a teenage college student on the floor of his study. The same college student insists she is in love with Nikolas’ son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).

Yes, Spencer and Esme do not love one another at all and are always playing a cat and mouse game seeing who can outsmart each other, especially with Spencer onto the fact that she made that sex tape of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (Will Lipton) and sent it out onto the Internet. In fact, the only reason Spencer even pretends to want Esme is so he can get the dirt on her and prove that she set up Trina Robinson (Tabyaba Ali).

He has no idea that Esme slept with her father to break up his marriage for good, at the behest of her own father, serial killer Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).

We must also remember that actress Avery Kristen Pohl is very young and new to soaps and love scenes, so Marcus Coloma had to tread carefully with Nik and Esme’s little romp.

GH Spoilers – Marcus Coloma Explains Love Scene

Coloma was at least happy he had gotten to know Pohl over the nearly a year that she has been on the show while they played scenes with her as Spencer’s girlfriend.

“Because Esme and Spencer and Nikolas have such intertwined story, we see each other on the set a lot,” Coloma said in the July 12, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “If you don’t have storyline with someone, you may literally never see them. When this situation came up, I fully understood the situation she was in. I let her know that I’m not really, for lack of a better word, creepy, and I reassured her how talented I think she is and was just encouraging her to go for it.

“Avery is so opposite of Esme,” he continued. “She is such a completely, sweet, lovely girl.”
