She’s reportedly leaving the soap because of the said reason. When she heard about the rumors, the actress immediately shut them down. Hennesy said, “Your facts are incorrect. Diane is going nowhere.”

GH Spoilers – Steve Burton Exits General Hospital

The rumors about Hennesy may have been unfounded but an actor is really living the show because of the vaccine mandate. Steve Burton, who plays, Jason Morgan, has confirmed that he’s exiting the soap because of the vaccine mandate.

The actor confirmed recent reports that he’s out of the show at least for now. Burton shared that he’s leaving the soap because of the vaccine mandate. But he also clarified that he applied for religious and medical exemptions but his requests were denied.

The actor remains hopeful that he may still be able to return to the soap one day if the mandate gets lifted. In spite of that, Burton is looking forward to what’s next in his career. He’d love to come back to the show and reprise his role as Jason Morgan.

“That would be an honor, and if not, I’m going to take this amazing experience, move forward, and be forever grateful,” Burton said.

He also thanked his fans for all the love and support that they’ve given him during his time in General Hospital.

Burton is unsure when his last airdate would be and pointed out that it may have been aired already. Although his exit is sad news for his fans, he still encouraged all his followers to approach the holidays with gratitude and for all of them to have a happy Thanksgiving.
