Is General Hospital Star Kate Mansi Returning To Days Of Our Lives

Kate Mansi’s unexpected exit from General Hospital nearly broke the soap internet.  Mansi took over the role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis in 2023 and quickly made the character her own. 

However, the actress opted not to renew her contract with ABC and Mansi’s final air date is expected to be in June.  Is the soap star leaving GH because she is returning to her old stomping grounds on Days Of Our Lives?

The weeks are winding down until Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ big exit from Port Charles.  Rumor has it she might even skip town with her former flame (sorta) Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean). 

Ethan and Kristina’s final scenes are expected to air around the same time, so it’s a safe assumption they could be intertwined.  

After news broke of Mansi’s exit, social media began buzzing about a possible Abigail Deveraux return on Peacock’s Days of Our Lives.  Before Kate Mansi joined the General Hospital cast, she spent nearly a decade on the NBC soap opera. 

Mansi debuted as Abigail Deveraux in 2011 and became a household name on the daytime show until she was replaced by Marci Miller in 2018.

Is Kate Mansi Heading Back To DOOL

Although it would be amazing to see Abigail Deveraux make a return to Salem, it’s highly unlikely.  And if DOOL does bring back Mansi’s character, she’s not going to be available to play the part. 

In fact, the actress revealed in an interview with Soap Opera Digest that she’s taking some time off to work on a few new projects of her own. 

She plans on travelling because her husband has started a job overseas.  If Mansi is going to be out of the country, there’s no reason to think that she’s filming scenes for Days.
