Is General Hospital’s Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) Exiting GH? Here Is What We Know So Far

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that fans were finally given some closure during the Monday, December 9 episode, when the soap revealed that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was the person who tampered with Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) medication, causing her untimely demise on October 31.

Fans had their suspicions that Cyrus was behind it all; however, the show confirmed Sam passed away because of a digitalis injection into her IV bag, at the hands of the long-time criminal.

General Hospital Spoilers – An Online Leaked Photo

GH spoilers indicate that long before the Tuesday, December 10 episode, fans have been getting the feeling that Dex could exit storylines. A photo of him in a hospital bed was leaked online and sent GH viewers buzzing on social media.

Still, let’s dive into the week Dex has had so far. He had a weird run-in with Cyrus during Monday’s show when he mentioned Renault being at the hospital on Halloween (the very same day as Sam had passed) to see his niece.

In an effort to be honest, Cyrus said he wasn’t at GH to visit Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), which was true.

Still, as Dex was on duty during Tuesday’s show, in a shocking twist, he was stabbed from behind, by someone unknown.

Fans can’t help but think Cyrus was the one behind the knife in the back, that sent Dex to the hospital, but at this point, there’s no proof pointing to this. The good news is that Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) stated Dex should make a full recovery, after his minor surgery.

The bad news? Lucas made the same prognosis for Sam, after her surgery, before her digitalis OD.

GH Spoilers – Some Bad News Coming Josslyn Jack’s Way

It’s important to note that nothing official about Dex’s exit, or Evan Hofer’s for that matter, has been released by the soap or the actor.

Still, it’s hard not to think that Cyrus could slip into Dex’s hospital room, like he did with Sam, and inject digitalis into his IV bag, to cause his demise. Actually, he may not do the same thing twice, and if Cyrus was behind Lulu’s ventilator incident, then he may simply find another way to get rid of the cop.

GH spoilers for Friday, December 13 note that Dex’s gal pal, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will get life-changing news during this episode, so it’s hard for fans not to think that Heller could be on his way out.

He’s a sweet character, but an expendable one, so if the show wants to build up this Cyrus serial killer storyline, Dex may be a victim to help move this shocking arc along.
