General Hospital Spoilers – Rumors Have Been Rampant Since Elizabeth Baldwin Checked Herself Into Shadybrook
General Hospital rumors have been rampant since Rebecca’s character Elizabeth Baldwin checked herself into Shadybrook in a recent GH episode to get to the bottom of her bizarre nightmares and sleepwalking. Bear in mind there was a time several years ago that Rebecca had actually been fired, and there was a huge fan response and petitions to bring her back. Similar petitions went out when Michael Easton’s past character, Dr. Silas Clay was murdered onscreen, and it was a while, but he eventually was hired back as Dr. Hamilton Finn.
There were rumors online from everything that Rebecca had been dropped to recurring to that she was fired. Other rumors were started as to reasons for her lack of appearances from pregnancy, to needing family time, and even because of menstrual cramps!
GH Spoilers – Some Fans Remember Her Previous Firing And Have Been Afraid
As aforementioned, she was actually fired one time in 2011 and fans got up petitions to bring her back – which worked, and another scare in 2016 over stalled contract negotiations. But this time, the rumors apparently have had no basis in fact at all, only fans’ worries and fears that seeing Elizabeth less onscreen could mean Rebecca had been fired! It is no doubt her longtime fans who petitioned to bring her back when she was fired in 2011 that Rebecca took concern for and went online with the following tweet. “Well, hello there…just thought I’d shut down some rumors that have been circulating: I haven’t been fired. I’m not on vacation. I don’t have covid.” “My kids don’t keep me from working. Nor do I have cramps (the best one yet). I hope you all have a great weekend! XOXO.. #GH,”

General Hospital Spoilers – Rebecca Herbst May Not Be On Vacation But Probably Could Use A Little Bit!
Rebecca may not be on vacation right now, but in all honesty she could probably use a little bit as all people do! Elizabeth has been onscreen nearly as much as Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has for over two years. First there were all the storylines with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) following those with Jake Doe aka Jason Morgan aka Drew Cain (now Cameron Mathison).
More recently, Elizabeth and Finn’s fight against Peter August (Wes Ramsey) required them to be onscreen quite a bit as well. Rebecca’s not worried about not being onscreen as much during this Shadybrook storyline so fans shouldn’t be either.
GH Spoilers – Many Fans Complain The Storyline Is Too Much About Hamilton Finn

It is true that many of Rebecca’s fans have complained that the current storyline is too much about Finn, but if it was all about Elizabeth then Michael’s fans might complain! As the old saying goes, you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time! General Hospital spoilers for July 1 tease that Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will bring Elizabeth a special visitor at Shadybrook but who that will be is yet to be revealed. It could be anyone from one of her boys or her parents, or one of her half-siblings; it’s about time one of them returned!
