James Patrick Stuart Leaving GH? ‘Till Next Time’ Sparks Exit Rumors, What We Know!

General Hospital Spoilers: ‘Till Next Time’-Is James Patrick Stuart Gone From The Soap For Good?General Hospital spoilers and updates seem to indicate March 24’s episode was the end of the line for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

There was a tearful goodbye to his daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and he was escorted to Steinmauer Prison for a life sentence.

No Trial, No Jury, No Plea Bargain?

It doesn’t seem possible that Valentin was sentenced for life with no trial, no jury, and no plea bargain-many fans expected him to throw Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) under the bus!

It’s possible his “life sentence” may not turn out to be all that long, given he told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) “Till next time” as he was led out of the PCPD in shackles. And then, there’s that mysterious favor that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) promised him as well.

We held onto hope that the show wouldn’t be letting go of the soap veteran, known for his role as the villain Will Cortlandt on All My Children. However, the signs indicating his departure kept increasing.

So Many Similar Baddies Suddenly Appeared

Initially, the show presented Jack, who resembles Valentin on one of his gray-hat days. Next, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) appeared, embodying Valentin as a true black-hatted villain. It seemed as though Stuart was being phased out, though not in the same capacity.

Speculation grew when it was revealed that the MVP and his wife had recently relocated-“Jocelyn and I are now Portlanders,” he posted on social media in June. While many actors travel from afar for their soap roles, it appears that won’t be the case here.

When a fan jokingly remarked that Stuart’s move “better not mean you’re leaving GH, because you’ll have to answer to me,” he chose not to reply.

James Played Valentin Nine Years, On And Off

James has been playing Valentin intermittently for nine years, and that “intermittently” aspect is likely significant here.

He is a recurring character, meaning he doesn’t have a standard contract, even though his previous storylines have lasted several months or even years.

A quick look at his IMDB page reveals that he currently has no upcoming projects, which is surprising given his history of consistent work, ranging from soap operas to voice acting in cartoons.

He may have chosen to retire or focus more on his music career, but as a recurring actor, he remains available for calls.

Ultimately, the decision lies with the executives at GH, similar to the fate of Nikolas Cassadine, last portrayed by Adam Huss.

Anna Will Reflect On Her Past-Will That Be Her Romantic Past?

Spoilers for Friday, March 26 suggest that Anna will be reflecting on her past, possibly her romantic history with Valentin; she mentioned feeling constrained and needing to make the right choice.

However, fans were upset when she decided to trust Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to take Valentin to Steinmauer. Anna did warn Brennan that if anything happened to Valentin, she would hold him accountable.

Many fans are curious about why Brennan was suddenly released from Pentonville Prison and why Valentin had to go on the run.

But then, GH has yet to resolve the mystery of Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder, even though many believe Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was involved.
