Now, Soap Opera Digest (SOD) is reporting that the character, and the actress who played her, Kathleen Gati, are making a Port Charles comeback. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)
GH Fans Rejoice!
Gati debuted as Obrecht in 2012, and while she started off as a villainess, she eventually became a beloved part of the little town.
The actress recently told SOD, “The love and loyalty expressed to me over this past year-and-a-half that I have not been on General Hospital has been overwhelming.”
She goes on to talk to the online soap mag about how loyal and faithful the GH fans have been, stating, “I am truly grateful and so happy that I can bring some story and entertainment back to them again through Obrecht! It means a lot to me.”
She also stated that she has “… so much gratitude, appreciation and love for all my fans.”

Obrecht’s Return A Good Sign
As of this writing, GH continues to stay hush-hush over Kelly Thiebaud’s return and who she’ll be playing upon her comeback.
While fans know the actress will be back as of July (very soon), it has yet to be confirmed if she’ll reprise her Dr. Britt Westbourne role, and many GH viewers are hoping that’ll be the case.

Especially with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) back in the little town and living his life as a single pringle. GH audiences love The Britch and Stone Cold together, so here’s hoping the show can make that happen. After all, there’s a whole lot of “Britt” talk within storylines recently.

Still, there is always a chance that Kelly will play another role … maybe Westbourne had a twin sister? Only time will tell!
