What Is the Difference Between Perimenopause and Menopause?

According to Health.com, “Perimenopause and menopause are two closely linked times in a person’s life. Perimenopause is the transition period leading to menopause, which is when you stop having your period.”

Maybe you heard women complaining about “hot flushes.” Well, other symptoms might include “sleep issues. ” perimenopausal stage hits most women in their 40s and lasts for about two years due to a lowering of “estrogen levels.” In menopause, it means that you haven’t menstruated for a whole year.
