General Hospital Spoilers – Anna DeVane Gets A Visit from Jason Morgan
As GH viewers know, Jason met up with Anna in the middle of a birthday bash for Violet Finn (Jophielle Love). Jason let Anna know that it wouldn’t take long, but he needed to let her know about the release of Cyrus Renault from Pentonville Prison. Of course, Anna has her own sources, and she already knew Cyrus had walked. However, Jason still made sure that Anna knew Cyrus was looking to gain leverage on key elements of law enforcement in Port Charles. Moreover, Jason let Anna know that he and Sonny didn’t know for sure that Cyrus was planning on targeting Anna … but he wanted her to be “aware.”
Interestingly, Jason then kind of went fishing. Before Anna could walk back in the house, Jason asked her if the WSB had ever gone after Cyrus Renault. Anna was then evasive and told Jason that she couldn’t share that information with him. Jason was more than a gentleman at this point and reminded Anna that if she spotted someone trailing her, or if she felt threatened, etc. it couldn’t hurt for her to have him as a backup.
Many GH fans may have been disappointed with Anna’s response, wherein she told Jason she could take care of herself. This, from the WSB spy and law enforcement agent, who doesn’t ever seem to truly vet the information she’s given. Many believe that this GH character just hasn’t been too smart of late.
GH Spoilers – Jason Morgan Has Cause To Be Nervous

Now, GH fans know that Jason Morgan has reason to be nervous when it comes to Cyrus Renault. Whether or not the drug kingpin decides to target Anna is anyone’s guess at this point. However, Jason was right. Cyrus has already made moves against members of law enforcement in Port Charles. Even from behind bars, Cyrus managed to have two police detectives murdered through forced drug overdoses. Cyrus managed to kidnap the daughter of a police detective, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), and then reel in the Port Charles police commissioner herself!
Does anyone believe that Cyrus doesn’t know who is who in the various law enforcement agencies as well as within the court system in Port Charles? How hard might it be for Cyrus to target Anna by having Violet kidnapped? It’ll be interesting to see if Anna actually listened to Jason and whether she might get Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) to help her formulate a plan of defense.

Of course, GH viewers know that Anna has had a distinguished career (tarnished lately or not) within law enforcement. She’s been trained as a spy, and so surely Anna has great problem-solving abilities. If she knows Cyrus might be a threat to her and her family, then Anna probably won’t sit idly by and wait for Cyrus to make a play.

Still, Anna may not be as strong either physically, mentally, or emotionally as she once was. In recent years Anna’s had migraines, she’s overexerted herself to the point of fainting, she’s been kidnapped and drugged. Therefore, it’s not like no one can get Anna. It’s not as if Anna dwells in some ivory tower.
There’s a lot of GH fans who’ve criticized Anna over her gullibility in regards to Peter August (Wes Ramsey). In light of the potential threat by Cyrus Renault, a lot more is going to find fault with Anna if she ignores Sonny’s warning or the help offered by Jason Morgan.
Anna has been up against a lot of really bad guys. I did think that it was interesting that Jason went to warn Anna about Cyrus. I have to wonder if maybe Cyrus will target Anna. Maybe this might be a way for Peter to really come through for Anna by saving her from Cyrus. It might start Peter back on a better path again.

I think Anna is off her game and Jason knows it so that’s why he warned her.
